Not particularly, but I don't feel the need to post soft as ****e whines that make me sound like a spoilt brat every 2 minutesOriginally posted by rodo View Postso you are happy with the direction the club is going
It's boring as ****. No-one is happy about how the season went. No-one is happy that JWH hasn't called each one of us personally to outline his plans for next season but ****ty little one line whinges isn't going to change anything, all it does is make the entire site one massive ****ing moan
We might as well all migrate to MumsnetI saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

BR: "We had that wee bit of luck as a group with the Suarez money and the quality was enhanced, certainly in the respect that the group became almost like an inverse group and a half with the additions of Lambert who has quality, Balotelli who brought quality and Lallana who brought that wee bit of quality. He can play in those roles that don't exist behind the 7 1/2 and in front of the 8 1/3 that can make that wee bit of difference (strange hand gestures and seizure like facial expression). Lovren was a warrior in the sense that he did what most other people might not have asked him not to do and Can, who came to us as a midfielder don't forget, and he's young too, was recycled into a defender as I always knew he would be. Young Sterling, sadly, didn't have the quality needed for wing back but young players need coached, not trained like dogs. We've been unlucky in many games that we didn't have any luck in, sure, but there are no easy games these days. "
MG: ".................."
BR: "Joe Allen, by the way , was again outstanding and many people's player of the season."
etc

i dont think Klopp actually signed any of them. Maybe Subotic who he had at Mainz but that is about it. As far as i know, Dortmund actually have a transfer committee....Originally posted by Buzzo View PostAre we not allowed to mentione Klopp got Dortmund to a Champs League final, signed up the likes of Lewandowski, Hummels, Bender, Reus (or was at least at the club at the time pedants).
The guy has a track record.
As would a club like Atletico Madrid......so Simeone wouldnt be the answer either....
For me, add to Brendans back room staff and we could have another go with Brendan at the helm. I know that is going to make a lot of people sick at the thought of it but I dont think any club gets places by chopping their manager too frequently. We don't have endless pockets to throw shedloads of money at the squad so if Brendan says to FSG that he thinks he can get improvement out of the likes of Moreno, Wisdom, Ibe, Emre Can and Markovic and Origi.....then they might be best sticking with him for another 6 months or so at least. Hopefully some of those players will be better for having had a year of premier league football....
The semi-obsession with Klopp for me is questionable. In reality, Brendan Rodgers could get that group of Dortmund players playing awesome football so it is hard to just simply say that he is the man to get. Also, people will point to the fact that he got dortmund to a CL final as well. Yes they were great in their semi final v Madrid but for me, that was a purple patch of 6 months that they went through. Similar to LFC last year. We would have fancied ourselves against anyone this time 14 months ago.
I think the only reason that Brendan get the chop is if he walks in to the review meeting with FSG and asks for all of last seasons signings to be replaced. Then he is effectively signing his own P45 because they will struggle to back him to the hilt again. If as rumour suggests and Lallana, Lovren and Lambert are BR signings and Moreno, Emre Can and Markovic are committee signings, then BR will lose credibility if he tries to say that his ones were okay but the committee ones weren't, and by the way can I now have an Ashley Williams please. That would be enough to get him the chop there and then....
If he does go in though and holds his hands up, say that Balotelli and Lovren have been a cluster****, but that he can improve the rest of them, then he might get a stay of execution. Especially if he sells them the fact that we don't need that many additions because we will have reduced games. If BR sells them the idea of signing Milner and Ings on frees / tribunals and 2 or 3 players on the Sterling cash, then FSG might think that it allows them to keep their powder dry this summer and keep the funds for the next manager if BR has a crappie 6 months and needs to get the bullet this xmas.
I think a suggestion of bringing in a character like Phil Thompson into his backroom staff wouldn't be a bad one either to be honest. It would freshen things up and be another sounding board for BR to bounce things off. Also, he knows how to set up a defense and is liverpool through and through so it might make sense all round. Another poster pointed out how Ferguson used to freshen up his coaching staff every couple of years and it is a really good point.
The one thing I just can't work out the rationale of is this though - who the fock has said it is a good idea to give Kolo another year. After giving away Agger for 3m last summer, to give this clown another years contract is just painful to see. We can almost start to laugh about it now but if you watch the Crouch goal against us the other day, jaysus what was Kolo the Clown doing??? He left the cross get in so easily but if you watch the replay of the idiot putting his hands up after the goal went it - as if to say "what the ****??!" - well the center back should have walked across and knocked him out.....

Depends what direction the owners intend to take. I have no idea whether we're buying him or not? It's just speculation, doesn't mean it's going to happen. We don't know anything at this stage, all we do know is that we've had an absolutely diabolical season and other managers have been sacked by FSG for less.
