    Liverpools last 14 Premiership games:

    Points = 15
    Goal for = 12
    Goal against = 24
    GD = -12

    It's relegation form an with another £80m spent which was subsidised by players sales again rather than club income.

    Those results would put us in 20th over that period of time which isnexcusable really when you consider they were quick enough to sack Kenny for getting to two domectic finals, winning one and securing European football. I don't know how you go about turning that kind of form around and I honestly don't think he will.

      What grinds my gears is where it becomes who said what first: 'I wanted Rodgers out in May 2015', 'I wanted him gone in October 2014' and 'I was amongst the first'. Whoop-de-****ing-do.

      It's as bad critiquing Rodgers' teeth and resorting to name calling (I know he doesn't read the forum before that tired excuse gets brandished, but it sets an uncomfortable tone and isn't really necessary).

      I've said it elsewhere, but that's the first time I've really seen Rodgers set up a side to defend so resolutely; He's feeling the pressure and his nervousness is transferring to the team. The first half was dire with neither 'keeper really troubled (I'm sure there wasn't a single shot on target in the first half), yet we conspired amongst ourselves to **** it up.

      In the first half Mignolet and Skrtel were a mess. Then in the second-half two set-piece goals from two defensive (both very much avoidable) **** ups played right in to Manchester United's hands. That first goal galvanised United and a one or two players going against the grain and realising danger would have resulted in no first goal and we'd have watched a drab nil, nil.

      Rodgers goes away to United last season, attacks them and loses 3-0. Rodgers decides to be more defensive and his back five let him down. Rodgers picks the team, so blame is apportioned but we're talking fine lines here.
      It's a **** sandwich really isn't it. But I guess the one constant in the two matches is the fella who picked the team - it all suggests he is not up to the challenge.

      Realisticalky no forum is going to make for pleasant reading when a team has been on a run as bad as ours.

      Bad times sadly I think there is only one way where we can all conceivably move on.

        I know these types of stats and figures are there to shock, but it's not a true representation of our current situation.

        Nine of those games are at the back end of last season where we lost to Manchester United (pretty much concreting United's fourth place finish) and to Aston Villa (our last chance of silverware). Those results alone created an atmosphere where the players checked out for their summer holidays.

        There are new players, a new set up behind the scenes and a new season. The stats that matter are that we've played five, lost two and are struggling in most areas of the pitch.

          ...and we didn't deserve to win against Bournemouth and we should have been beaten by Arsenal.

            I want him gone now. I think im actually the most recent one to think that, which gives me a fair bit of cred.

            Its boring watching us grind out a loss now. Was chatting to a mate yesterday and we came to the conclusion that this season we have had one 45 minute spell of good attacking play. The rest of it has been absolute trash.

            Rodgers will always have credit for me for the 2013 season. We finished 2nd and were closer to the title than ever. But that's in the past now, and that team with flair and ruthless attacking intent has gone.
            *Except Michael, who died.

              The season we finished second was largely down to one person and that wasn't Rodgers.

                So are leagues made up of what teams do and don't deserve?

                Only if you play well in 38 games of the season do you get the trophy?

                We got four points in those games. Rodgers has enough issues without folk taking away what's in black and white.

                    Point being we were gifted by stupid refereeing mistakes. We're playing **** and getting lucky occasionally. It's a repeat of last season.

                        I don't know if he will turn it around this time, but throughout his time here we have gone from very bad runs to very good runs and back again (see my post above). Last season we went from 1.31 points per game in the opening 16 games to 2.54 points per game in the next 13, then to 0.89 points per game in the last 9. It seems to be how he works things can go from terrible to fantastic (and back again). I don't really understand how it is possible to swing from extreme to the other but he does. If he could keep us close to those highs he could be a great manager, if he keeps us close to the lows he's a terrible manager, over his time here he is averaging out at mediocre.

                        The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                            I've been persuaded that you're in fact Chris Bascombe. Have been for a while, but you've ducked into admitting it.

                              He will be judged at christmas. Firmino is not being played in his coorect position. I thought Ings was playing like Steven Gerard last night closer to the midfield line, no where near his natural position. Benteke got one chance and scored.

                              Lovren and Skrtel are both playing poorly at the moment. THe goalie is not world class. Lovren was played too far forward; He should have played behind Lucas. Liverpool miss Henderson big style.

                              Having said all that. United had three chances and they scored. THeir keeper made two very good saves. It should have been 3-3 United are as bad as we are except they have spent far more money and have a wierdo for a manager.

                              For whats its worth who would take Mourihno if I came into the equation at Christmas?
                              Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

                                Why Christmas though? Is this some kind of festive feast, where Rodgers's head is brought on a plate instead of a Turkey?
