It just amuses me as he has gone from between calling Gerrard a con job of player to calling Gerrard world class.

Even over the course of single game that fool has gone to either extreme with Gerrard.

No doubt he will be one of those gurning for the media in the coming weeks and telling all that will listen about how great Gerrard was.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

Yeah I know, it just amazes me that RTE can sacrifice good punditry for the sake of some old washed up prick like Dunphy.

Haha, me and a mate at work were talking about his goals, I logged on to show him this, as it's also MY favourite

The technique would be insane enough but the fact that it was almost behind him when he struck it? Mental, bat**** mental ability

I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Its the Cup Final goal for me, and the Middlesbro goal, and the Olympiakos goal and the Man United goal in 2000/01 and the Southampton goal on New Year's Day in 2001 and the etc etc

So many. So many amazing memories, especially when he was playing with Fernando Torres and they were both at their peak. That player left a long time ago now though.

Reckon a compilation of his assists alone would make amazing viewing.

Quite simply he has been the most complete player of all time. Maybe not THE best but by far the most complete in my book. Doubt we will ever see anyone like him again.

When them two were playing as a partnership they destroyed teams with their movement and one two's , brilliant to watch.

Dunphy is just there purely for entertainment value. The RTE panel is by a country mile the most entertaining of all panels on any channel.

The Cup final goal has to be his finest goal or moment. If it was in Roy of the Rovers you'd be like "yeah, whatever, as if".
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

It will be a long time if ever that we see a player like him at the club again. Carried the club on his back for over a decade, just simply an incredible footballer. It's been tough on times watching him falter this season, but it's going to be a really sad day tomorrow. A True legend.

As regards goals, the header vs Milan & his celebration that dragged us back to win the cup , in the greatest final of all time.

It sounds trite to say it now, but I remember the celebration in the EC Final and thinking that we might just have a chance of getting back in it. That was based purely on the way he reacted to it - if he had just picked up the ball and sauntered back to his own half, then I would have felt like "Ah well, consolation at least", but I didn't. When he was on form back then, anything was possible - and more often than not, he absolutely was on form.

He's clearly forking the fans after his goal in the FA Cup final but then thinks better of it.
