But spurs will still have to come to Anfield. And I don't see us shipping 9 or being destroyed by the Manc clubs.

Far too early to be reading much into anything.

      Oh well, must look forward.
Would have love to have seen it too mate.

The ability to sign players 1st without worrying about shifting players.

Without the need to wheel and deal or result to buying bargain basement players and hoping for the best.

Hes had it all his life, Valencia, Liverpool and Inter Never had free rein at any club.

If Mancini ever gets the sack and Mourinho is not available. Rafa to City. Or I would say Arsenal and the Chavs. I'm heard some deluded Arsenal fans asking for Moyes to be brought in

It pains me to say it but I don't think any of the top 4 or 5 over here would take him, so effective was the hatchet job Sky did on him. It's ridiculous really. I think he'd win stuff with Arsenal. City...he'd ****ing walk it.

It's ironic because yes they did. But the president now, Manuel Llorente is the same man that Rafa fell out with. The have had several different presidents since but Llorente is having another spell. They both have respect for eachother and realise that they both just wanted the best for the club but had different views on how to do that.

IIRC, the Valencia board and the players were first not too sad to see Rafa leave. The fans were devastated though. There was a poll in the local newspaper in which one of the options was rename one of the streets after Rafa. Only 10% voted for that option. That is because around 85-86% voted for another options which was rename 5 important streets in Valencia after Rafa .

Within a few months both the players and the board realized what a huge loss Rafa was to the club and they mended fences. It is staggering that man is still out of a job. I have never seen a football manager so loved by the fans and so hated by the management.

Considering we played for an hour with ten men and lost our best defender very early, then played for nearly half an hour with only nine men, only an idiot would use that result as any kind of yardstick. Perhaps you and your work emails deserve each other.

David Villa & Mascherano met Rafa after Valencia Barca last week & signed shirts for his wife's charity.

                            Brilliant picture.

Could've been taken four or five years ago too had Villa signed for us.
