I think Giggs comes pretty close to him as well, especially with his longevity and flexibility in the latter part of his career.

Young was about a yard onside as well, left centre back playing him well on. There's more passion in utd threads than Liverpool ones.

United Barca is the best game of paper.Originally posted by GraciousGooner View PostBarca 3 league titles, 3 CL finals

Don't think there is anyone remotely close is there?
Inter 1 and 3 league titles in a dog of a league?Originally posted by GraciousGooner View Post
Outragous bias. United are the second best side in the world. Barca aren't all that especially if you can get at their back line. If RVP had stayed on, we could have knocked them out, or at the very least taken them to ET.
You'd think United were a pub side who have got lucky in every game they've played. They took the second best side in the country apart 3 times at the business end of the season.Originally posted by GraciousGooner View PostYet 75 points won the league in 97?
United have won 14 of 15 at home and scored far more than anyone else, they're a quality outfit and they will get a quality points total. Will have 4 players getting 10+ league goals.
We've done ****ing well to be near them with our squad.
What a ****e cover he's got. He calls the Mancs "United", manages to shoehorn them into practically every post, extols the virtues of all their players, the manager. It's pathetic. What a sad cunt.

This thread make weird reading sometimes
I rate Rafa as the best manager in the league the last decade. What he achieved having two owners that hated him and stabbed him in the back over and over again is something someone like Fergie would never be able to do.
What he achieved at Valencia was simply outstanding. To win two league titles at Valencia is outstanding.
Is he the best team builder out there? Who knows but he built us up to be the best in Europe in three years time. That as I said with no support at all from our board. First he had Moores as owner who loaned the club the massive amount of £10m so Rafa could sign Kuyt. Then he had Gillett and Hicks as owners who pissed at Rafa and the club.
Would Fergie have been able to build up a club to be the best in Europe in conditions like that? I doubt that very very much. He would have walked away after a few months IMO.
Would Wenger been able to do that? No chance.
Rafa is IMO the best manager in the league the last decade.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

Yes he is too good to be an assistant but he loves the club and i reckon it would be something he'd be prepared to do. A bit like fowler coming back knowing he would only be 4th choice striker.Originally posted by Chris View PostHe's way to good to be someones assistant or whatever.
And this "gooner" fella is a massive ****.

But I imagine if you asked everyone in the world who the best manager in the league has been for the last decade, one person would say Rafa.

So Rafa is better than Fergie because he built a **** club up. When Rafa took over United and your lot were in roughly the same position. I don't think SAF has done terribly since then?

Sure is, he's in 'don't give a **** mode' now he's been outed'.
What a sad little man he is/was, filling his time on other teams fans sites and not even having the bottle or pride to be himself.

Truth is, if Fergie came into management in the modern era, he would'nt have got all those barren trophyless years in a job without winning diddly, he'd have been gone, sacked, reputation tainted, start from square one again, he's had it soooooo easy, and he would'nt have lasted a week with Hicks and Gillett, he'd have blown his top and walked!Last edited by Vermilion; 06-10-11, 01:27 PM.
