It's the hope that I miss the most. You could let yourself believe because there was a chance it could actually happen.
    Never knowingly optimistic

I won't watch that, the Rafa years get me every time now. Your story is pretty much the same as mine, I'm a year older than you by the looks of it Shaggy.

I miss him, I miss the swagger we played with, I miss the belief that whoever we were playing we had a man who had analysed them meticulously and everything that happened looked like it was part of his plan.

I miss the ambition he gave us. I miss the ambition he had, I miss the moments as a fan that only Rafa could give you (sitting cross legged with a bloody mouth in the semi final against Chelsea, "As always I am focused on training and coaching my team", "These are the facts", the goatee, when he took his glasses off and looked quizzically when asked about the ref's performance in the first game of the season v Spurs, making Baros stay out on the pitch to tell him where he'd gone wrong after scoring a hat trick are just a few)

I miss his "****" transfer windows, after making signings like Reina, Alonso, Torres, Mascherano, Benayoun, Skrtel and Agger

I miss him looking at his watch when we scored rather than punching the air in delight

I miss taking him, and us challenging on every front for granted. Because that's what I did and thats what millions of fans around the world did as well.

In my adult life, and therefore in my entire life, Rafa Benitez gave me the best times that I've experienced as a Red, and memories I'll take to the grave. Watch this and try not to feel at least a tinge of emotion.

Pellegrini must be in a bit of bother now. Could be an opening.

I'd be happy to see him at Malaga, even though he deserves a bigger club. He'd do a great job there.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Rafa let us believe. I just know he'll be back where he belongs one day.

Without meaning to sound disrespectful to Kenny, I can't wait to see Rafa back at LFC.

Did you not support LFC during the mid-late 80s?

Yep but I was a bit young.
