if he reaches his potential, then he could be one of the best midfielders in europe. I think a midfield of him and henderson would have so much energy as well - it would be incredible.
One thing we need to watch out for though is that he doesnt become the victim of his versatility. The fact that he can play 7/10 in about half a dozen roles could shaft him - he could end up being the back up for about 4 players and never nailing down his own spot. I think this would have happened with carragher had benitez not joined lfc as manager.
Short term, Can should have Joe Allens place in the team in his sights. Longer term, a midfield 3 of Can, Henderson and maybe Lallana could be excellent....
