I like him I really do

He does a decent amount of work but when he gets the ball hes positive. He has a decent pass on him and when he gets going hes reasonably effective dribbling with the ball

He would definitely be 1 of the midfielders I would pick week in week out irrespective of what system / formation was being employed

In all seriousness I think there is something I like about Can and just like you I do not see the attraction in Allen
I don't have an attraction with Joe Allen, I just think we're so used to a non-existent midfield now that at least when he plays, he gets involved and doesn't shirk responsibility and passes forward

Should be nicknamed Sloppy Joe atm

Emre was impressive and it is nice to have his physical presence in the middle. Very good technically and will only get better.

He did look huge compared to our other midfielders last night not sure if that's due to the relative size of the others or not.

Impressive effort last night though in a game that most expected us to be spanked 4,5 6, or 7 nil

              beefy enough. keep.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Very good display & would love to see him given a run of games. Has good physical presence, positive on the ball & good mobility.

Indeed, as I said in the match thread, he shows glimpses which are somewhat reminiscent of a Vieira type player. Hopefully he can become that. He gets through a lot of work regardless and I was impressed with that. He's quite young and will hopefully will grow as the season progresses as he gets more game time.

Two very good back to back performances against world class opposition. This guy needs games and should be a regular starter for us IMO.

Looked good to decent yesterday and showed why he should be given an extended chance.
Getting hooked off yesterday was a load of bollocks, but you can point to the fact that he was started in the last two games so he was given a measure of trust from the manager.

I expect him to start the next game or Rodgers will be getting a strongly worded letter.

Looks very decent, only concern for me is that he's a bit of a plodder. Hopefully as he gains more match fitness he should be a quicker over the 90 mins.

Rather have him plodding around the pitch than Allen plodding

He's going to be savage in a few games time once his fitness increases.

The commentator yesterday said Courtois looks a Rolls-Royce of a goalkeeper, this lad looks a Rolls-Royce of a midfielder, he's going to be class.

I was concerned about that too. Hopefully its just about getting up to speed
