Sometimes, but that's down to some **** in the system, once he gets some genuine spare parts it'll be running like a dream

          👍

Thats the thing with restoring a classic. You have all these new futuristic models that lack the class of those of yesteryear. Once the restoration is complete, and the engine starts to purr, we.... hang on. What the **** we talking about?

Looks like he's going to be a wenger with the goalkeeper position. As in not fix it for years. I read somewhere he's intending to look at all 3 in preseason before making a judgement. Just **** mignolet off in May regardless if he saves everything for the final run in. He's not good enough. Never will be.

                    Klopp may surprise me though.

I think there are a lot of different arguement as to which positions are the most important to reinforce.

                      I would suggest

                      1. A top class centreback
                      2. A holding midfielder
                      3. A top class striker
                      4. a good keeper
                      5. a left back

I reckon they are the five first team positions we need to strengthen.

                      Then in addition

                      A pacey winger
                      An Gary Macalike
                      A backup centreback
                      A backup leftback
                      A backup rightback.

I think with a decent signing in the first five positions will give us an XI capable ofwinning the league. The next five are "would be nices" that I feel the overall squad is lacking.

Obviously it would seem that availability of "the right player" will ultimately determine what we get.

Personally I think we need to get a strong arielly dominant centreback regardless of them being under 25, as we know how valuable a good partnership can be.

Its a question of whether that early season attacking form could be maintained if we didnt sustain the injuries?

IF we bought in Douglas Costa and LAczaette for instance that may be enough to cover our attacking play.

We need a top class CB & Keeper.

The early season form has shown Widjalndum, Henderson and Coutinho work well so just need good cover. A Kante would be nice but not easy to find!

If we had got one decent player on January we could have been in a better position than we are now. Same happened with Rogers and we didn't learn our lesson. Expecting a thin squad to overperform isn't a long term solution. Klopp needs serious backing this summer and it will be interesting to see if they actually get him who he wants.

I agree. A good or even a fairly decent centreback would have given us more defensive stability. I am not sure another attacking player would have helped us score more. I think our defence is definitely the area to focus on, and will give us a far greater return than buying attacking players (obviously both would be nice... but I guess we have to look at it in terms or several smaller steps than a huge leap).

I suspect that one player wasn't available though. And we had been in storming form up until Jan... Add to that there was very little transfer activity in general in January.

The one player I think may have been an decent option, but no way would they sell to us, is Schneiderlin.

Klopp would have had to train him in our system and that would have taken time and likely disrupted our play further.
