    Agree with this.
I don't begrudge him wanting to try it over there, cocktails by the pool with his husband.
Leaving on a free is his choice as he won't sign, not much the club can do about it.
What does leave a sour taste is his lack of honestly with the fans, it feels like he's mugging us off.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I do have to wonder how long the system of transfer fees will continue in football. The buying and selling of players does have vague parallels with slavery, in a philosophical sense rather than in any practical way.

Anyone know how it works in American sports where, as far as I'm aware, they don't have any transfer fees?

In baseball you would have the trading of players and if a player does not have enough playing service time in MLB or has not played for five years in a row for his current team then he has no choice in who he gets traded to. He just gets told he is being sent to team X in whatever city.
I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

US sports have salary caps and draft systems that keep the league competitive, and guaranteed profits for the owners

I agree, though, that more and more players will become free agents, which represent a fundamental business model change for most clubs who have historically depended on developing and selling players to clubs further up the food chain

Will be fascinating to see how this pans out over the next 10 years

If he has already signed an extension I don't see why he would wait to announce it. If it was done before the title was secured no reason not to announce it then, if he has signed an extension after the title was secured that's good news only reason not to announce it now would be he wants his 'moment' (like VVD and Salah) and thinks the title related stuff being put out overshadows that (but then he should have signed before the title was secured ). My feeling would be that an announcement is not being made because it is bad news and announcing it would be viewed as 'raining on the parade' If he is leaving it needs to be announced if he wants to have a 'goodbye', like I said above I think there will be an announcement that he has signed for Real Madrid sometime in the week after the Arsenal game.

Of course it could genuinely be the case than he hasn't decided yet but to me it seems unlikely this late on...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

All players should be on 1 season contracts.

4 tiers of pay based on independent performance stats from the previous season determines which tier and salary.

In the summer you have a knockout competition of dizzy penalties which determines where you sit in line to pick a team, i.e. the overall winner gets to choose his team first.

                Job done.

No surprise at all. Best of luck to him, we need something different in both fullback areas anyways

One thing is for sure now with the announcement, Bradley should start the rest of the games. Can give Trent a few mins in Palace game to say goodbye.

Massive loss. Hope we get a decent replacement.

I’m not gonna pine for a 26 year old multimillionaire who had it all but wanted more. No hard feelings but I don’t wish him any luck. We move on.
