I am not sure how money orientated it is. Not sure where you plucked that figure from. I imagine the salary we offered and RM offered will be pretty similar. He will get a hefty signing on bonus thatrs for sure. #

He has completed Liverpool now, Its his job and if he fancies a few years in the sun who can blame him. Just gutted at getting **** all transfer feee for him.

What about offering improved wages and a loyalty type bonus if he signs, have to spend big on a replacement anyway, I’m just not sure Bradley is ready yet. But even if that was an option, I’m not convinced it would be the right thing to do, although defensively, this season he has improved under Slot, imo.

I wondered the same. But then that could be a dangerous precedent that other players follow.

I think Trent is an awesome player but he is not getting his pace back. I yearn for the days of Robbo and Trent tearing the wings up and wouldn't be surprised if Slot was secretely happy he is bringing in a new RB.

So if you are Trent, and have decided you are leaving when do you make the announcement? For me it happens sometime after the Arsenal game, there will have been enough time since we wrap the title up that an announcement isn't ruining the party, it's after the could of remaining big games of the season, leaves just one home game for a goodbye and thank you from the fans rather than any stick and the announcement being between 10 days and two weeks before the last home game gives everyone a chance to have got used to the idea before the goodbye.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I hope he does it before the season ends. And I hope Madrid then 'renegotiate' his offer, or pull it entirely!
                Really?

I think he stays and denies ever talking to Madrid. Blames it all on media speculation.

I reckon he has signed that contract already & is waiting for the right moment to let us know!
Nope, don't need anger management, you just need to stop pissing me off!

Real Madrid contract, or with us?

It's almost inevitable now that he goes. Going to be controversial here but I think we should just wish him well. Even though he's been a bit of a weasel and leaving on a free he has played a major part in all our recent successes. It would be undignified of us to boo him at the last game.

All the murmurs from the journos with connections to the club is that nothing has changesd, still expected to join RM.

He's won it all with us, so has earnt the right to try it out in a different league. I don't think any of us begrudge him that.

But it is a shame he's just let his contract run down, and we get nothing for him in terms of a fee. But I guess he would argue that he's been integral to the prize money that we have earned over the course of his career etc.

Fantastic passer of the ball, but not the greatest defender and seemed out of place in midfield. I wonder how Madrid will have him playing. And if the new manager even wants him, given their other options.

If he goes then I can see him being like Michael Owen and regretting it within a year or two. Who knows though.

to all of the post but especially to the highlighted bit.

Don't think he will get booed though.

I know my mind will be on singing and cheering that day when over and I reckon every single person in the stadium and around it that day (and the next day) will be doing the same.

May 25th is not TAA day. It is the last game of the season, a title winning season, and as such a day to celebrate all things Red.

Think it is very appropriate that we get presented with our 20th league title on the 20th anniversary of one of the most famous nights/wins in the club's history.
