Yeah, good job he doesn't play him in midfield.

They targeted him all night thinking he was our weak link and he put in a MOM performance.

                Massive boost for his confidence.
City's game plan was target him all night and he made it blow up in their face.

What a response to the stick he has taken (some justifiably) concentration levels were 100% tonight.

Putting aside his excellent defensive performance, he was incredibly brave in the way he kept the ball when City pressed. His ability to confidentally pass with both feed makes it hard for city to squeeze him and helped us retain possession so many times when other fullbacks would have just turned out and smashed it up the line.

Awesome display. Him and Robertson were solid all night which in turn made us solid at the back. We could have played both legs tonight and not conceded.

What a talent. Almost made me cry tonight. I love him.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

before tonights game he kind of was our weak link [with lovren] but he was spectacular tonight.

sane even got to the point where he stopped trying to go outside and down the line cos he realised taa was covering for that too well and mostly forcing him back inside and then henderson or others would double up on sane, so forcing the ball back to de buyne.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

A performance that he needed badly, we all know he is going to be quality but he has had a rough time recently. Fabulous display, had a point to prove and proved it n then some.
