It was day five of the Botham Test at Headingley.

fair does.
i'd love to live near(walking distance) a little cricket ground or even football (i know old trafford is not little
)
we've got decent amateur clubs locally but not what i'm after
for example, i remember going up to scarborough. The cricket ground there is literally in the middle of a village/housing and it was a decent little stadium.
not world class cricket, but would be great to just think - saturday afternoon, **** all on, i'll wander down the road, pay £10 on the gate, have a few beers and have a day watching some decent cricket.
Same with football - closet i've got is Vauxhall Motors - but their home ground is about a 25 min drive and a bit of a ballache to get too.
if it was a 5-10 minute walk i'd be there most weeks
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

I live about 30 seconds from Bloomfield Road, it was tempting to get a season ticket this year as they're £190 but I just don't feel strongly enough about Blackpool to get one!

see blackpool are 'too' good for what i want
i don't want sunday league football but i don't professional football - i want to pay £4 on the door, 50p for a teamsheet, 75p for a bovril, and then just stand wherever i want -
same goes re cricket
though £190 not bad at all - works out at less than £10 a game for championship footy.i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do
