Poor game today, but no need to be singled out in what was a complete dog**** performance from everybody. Done his running, yet looked very flat-footed at times as the game was going against us, and with no control from the midfield or any outlets down the wings any impact on the game was going to be minimal.
Was asked to run the right side by Kenny, for reasons best known to Kenny, which he did with little effect but then again, I probably wouldn't have started him to begin with.

Let's hope for Carroll's sake that happens sooner rather than later.
I think there are signs that this isn't quite true. While it's a balance between giving new players time to adjust and playing the best performing XI, I think Henderson has been picked ahead of much better players (better at the moment). Same applies to Carrol to some extent.

Now im not an insider by any stretch of the imagination but my nephew who is from gateshead reckons big Andy told his (nephews) mates that he is homesick and he cant settle.
To be honest he's told me a few things in january when we bought him. He reckons hes got mutual friends with Carroll and he would often see him out and about on the toon. Probably sour grapes from me nephew who was absolutely gutted when Carroll came to us.
Thought id pass on what he said to me on facebook about an hour ago thats all.

I'm not forming any judgement until i've heard from cream and bender.

And then i'll clarify what they say, with our roving North East reporter, Rowan.

What the **** are they doing on the training ground? I bet he'd be amazing at City.

Cameron Jerome would be amazing at City with Aguero, Nasri, Silva, Toure and all the other 200k a week mercenaries creating chances for him.

If we wouldnt go for that player why exactly should we have to defend Carroll for his performances? Luis Garcia, bless his little heart, got an absolute torrent of abuse on these forums despite creating goals and scoring them. On this simple fact we should be slating Carroll instantly for his poor performances.
I was watching the game after the old firm at the pub today and I said exactly the same thing. Though, I did say, Andy Carroll will come good eventually but my Celtic mate said they said that about Samaras too.

Interesting who views are changing and impatience is growing.

Just few weeks ago most thought he was great against Bolton and he followed that up with a very good performance for England U21 and now he should have not played vs Spurs cause he didn't score against Stoke (and yes he should have)...

He is a young player that will have up and down type of a season and he is still getting adjusted to his new teammates and pressure that comes for playing for a big club.

I'd stick with him for time being but then again that is my personal opinion.

22 isnt that young. Being positive wont change the way he plays. He's **** in the air constantly. He does NOT chase down opponents with the ball, just walks around. If he's still doing that small thing by 22, he wont be changing it when he's 25. I swear Spearing has won more challenges in the air then him. At best he should be a substitute. Was a little uneasy when we bought him, but now I'm totally unhappy that we did. I'm tired of getting big lumbering forward men. They all play the same. Give me smaller faster players anyday. You do far more damage with the ball at your FEET then lobbed into the air for your head.

Honestly though, who'd even buy him for £15m right now?
