I'd say bringing nothing is harsh

Hes been ok in a few games (not great but not terrible either)

Monday was a stepback for me but frankly I'm not convinced I'd have played him in that game anyway
    Really

we should have started with Bellamy, Maxi and Suarez up front with bringing Carroll on later in the game.

His confidence looks shot at the moment, a decent cameo would really help him at the moment, still hopeful that he shows us why we bought him sooner or later though.

Some of the critisim is way over the top, he's not worked out for us so far and at present I don't think he should be starting games but thats not to say he won't turn it around.

Agree, a few sub appearances are the way to go with Carroll.

That's true, but some of it isnt though, & that seems to be getting overlooked amomgst the screeching of the negative lunatic fringe.

He battered teams at times and for me was one of the best headers of a ball I had seen for a long time

Now if Carroll is capable of playing at that level for Newcastle hes capable of playing at that level for LFC

Now for whatever reason it isnt happening for him now

Personally I dont think its a lack of ability or intelligence
            It's "batted".

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Why because hes ****ing done it

The thing is people are just using the 6 months as another reason to beat him with

He was excellent in the Championship the season before

He had most of the scouts in the country following him at youth level (even Rafa said they had been watching him closely since he was 16 or 17)

Now if the lad is so lacking in all departments why were so many scouts looking at him - was it just his hair they liked?
I think you have misunderstood the concept of an anomalie.

Championship is a very long way away from the Prem in terms of quality.

Plenty of players have been heavily scouted and proved to be not good enough.

nope so of it is certainly justified, he's not doing the business at the moment that is apparent.

Calling him or the manager disasters for instance though is well beyond deserved criticism IMO

                      Really yes

Seriously you think the club bought him to rely on him banging the goals in??

If you do then I worry about your knowledge of the game

The lad didnt have a track-record as a goalscorer (unlike Suarez)

Bearing in mind that Comolli is backing every transfer up based on stats

The lad scored 1 in 11 whilst on loan at Preston and 31 in 80 for Newcastle

He scored 4 in 19 for LFC

Now hes already scored more goals in those 19 games than Peter Crouch did in his first 19 games for LFC. I'd compare them to players in terms of type of player - Crouch wasnt bought to be a goalscorer either
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Good film. Quite sweet and charming I thought.

Agreed, have a feeling some of the more coherent arguments are being lumped in with such nonsense, that's the problem.

No I understand it, I just think its a **** argument

Did the lad play well for Newcastle yes he did. There is no reason why he cant hit that level again hes shown hes capable of doing it, if he wasnt he wouldnt have been able to do it in the first place

Its more than scouted though Rafa actually said he was an intended target for the club, he was also subject of a couple of bids from Premier League clubs before he kicked off his first Premier League campaign and again in the early part of January Newcastle knocked back bids from Spurs for the lad

So its not just scouting there was intent behind that

Its battered as in "hit repeatedly - ie batterring ram - large beam used to break down fortifications" or alternatively its how the Koreans prefer their dog cooked
