Thanjk you.

I think a lot of people and journalists are failing to realise that Liverpool agreed a £35 fee but will not have paid that up front. Any sale back to Newcastle would probably only cover what Liverpool have already paid plus a nominal fee.
Good business for Newcastle and only leaving Liverpool a couple of million out of pocket. The same thing happened with Robbie Keane.
Interesting parallels between Carroll and Robbie Keane. Will we persist with Carroll? I'd offload him for £20m and no less. He hasn't been given a decent run of games admittedly but he just doesn't have enough to his game - I thought he was great in the air before he came but he isn't - and isn't mentally strong enough to turn it round at Anfield imo. If we hold onto him he might come good.
Just before Man City play Utd, stories appear that Rooney wants to leave.

Hmmmm....
Anybody else want to borrow my conspiracy tin foil hat?

Newcastle received the full amount, they had us over a barrel. In hindsight, keeping N'gog would've have been just as effective.

So liverpool just had £35m pound sat around in cash...? The only club that can do that is Man City as they are cash rich.
So unless you have some proof that was the case and not just internet rumours and people claiming to be ITK, then I will go along with the assumption Liverpool bought Carroll using the same business model that them and every other club use.

Yes, we did have £35m in cash, we received £50m in cash for Torres, that's why they had us over a barrell.

The business model went out of the window when we decided to pay £35m for Carroll. The cash came from Chelsea, who incidentally, are also cash rich.
Again, how do you know we were given £50m in cash for Torres? You know Terry's mum or something?
Wasn't it reported at the time that we insisted on cash up front for Torres? I seem to remember that being mentioned...
Although whether it's true or not is another issue though...
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
