Another example that he (Chang) is full of it..
@JenChang88
Obviously, Carroll's young & will still develop, but I think his upside isn't as great as some believe due to lack of those innate instincts@JenChang88
Gerrard's goal vs. Newcastle actually a good example. As he drives into box, looks to square it. Carroll's in position but makes an odd run.
@JenChang88
However, Carroll veers at an angle away from goal instead of moving into space & attacking 6-yd box, leaving Gerrard no option but to shootMember #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

maybe kenny should block book a whole section and send the tickets to mancini and tell him to take the boys out for the night

Looks like he isnt going thenOriginally posted by Mostar View Post@JenChang88
Newcastle wanting Andy Carroll back is no surprise. Believe LFC are open-minded about selling him but doubt they'd let him go for just £15M

It was just another proof that he actually doesn't watch any games but you brought in a good point.Originally posted by Lecter View PostHonestly you dont need to post any more examples

Heres another classic Jen Chang
@JenChang88: Been told by source that Blackburn's preference is to keep Hoilett & lose him in summer. Club feels it needs him & Samba to avoid relegation”
“@JenChang88: Source said though that Blackburn will sell Hoilett if asking price is met. Firm interest from LFC & Spurs, but Stoke after someone else.”

So Blackburn prefer to keep him unless someone meets their price

I just think he has lost all confidence.It is quite baffling really as he should beable to draw confidence from people like Kenny and Gerrard around,and believe in himself more.
Maybe a loan spell may do him some good.-----------------------------------------------

I've come to the conclusion that he's not really suited to our style and probably not suited to a top team (he's too much of a specialist forward, top teams have more versatile/multifaceted strikers in general). That said he's still young and might adapt.
The problem is we are still trying to define ourselves as a team in an attacking sense. It's made his fitting in/adapting twice as hard. I think we have to make use of him as a plan B and hope that he can get lucky coming on when the opposition is tiring."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I happen to agree with Shearer that Carroll will become a really good player, but his style of play will mean that the team has to be built around him to make the most of his attributes.
Unfortunately I do not see that team being Liverpool which is sad for us (35 million reasons) and for him.

I still believe we will get the best out of Carroll.. My only concern is I would like to see a liitle more agression from him. He seems to be very passive on the pitch, something he wasnt at Newcastle. I would like to see him defending from the front like Rushie used to, running and hunting down the defenders. It pisses me off seeing Carroll performing his aimless my little pony trotting between defenders.
FFS man, man up close them down and pressure them into making mistakes!!!Last edited by Assassin; 12-01-12, 12:04 PM.

Infuriating when he just jogs along the halfway line without pressuring the back line.
He was about three yards away from one of City's centrebacks who had the ball last night and barely broke out of a jog. Gave them far too much time on the ball. If he sticks a boot in and wins a ball then he's got a one-on-one.

He started really brightly against City last night and looked like he was going to get some joy against Savic but once we scored and especially in the second half we completely changed our game plan, which is understandable, but it did mean we essentially cut his supply lines off.
Personally I'm not THAT worried, he's starting to get in the right positions and is getting chances, he'll start putting them away soon.
