But the one thing I have been disappointed with is Carrolls ariel ability. It could be the quality of crosses, and his confidence, but I expected to see a bit more threat in the air. He seems to be better with the ball at his feet. Not sure what his head/foot scoring ratio is, but I thought we were getting a player who was powerful and accurate in the air.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

If gerrard's fully fit, I still wouldn't start Carroll tbh.Originally posted by cream View PostLets hope he kicks on from here, a couple against scum would really make me happy. Anyone else think Kenny's post match comments were aimed at Capello as well as the media? He was at the game today...Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

I'm hoping he's going to put it about a bit against Man Utd. He has to start. He has to be allowed to see if he can get a run of games to gain form. He has played a lot better in the last two games, and with the goal against Everton, a goal against United (or even a good game against Utd) will put some bounce into his step.
I just wish we'd stop these long cross field lumps into the box from full back. He can finish with his left foot perfectly well too, as seen yesterday.

I didn't think he played very well yesterday, it was a good goal and a lovely finish, but overall, his game was average.Originally posted by BringbackBiscan View PostDropping Carroll after he's played well the last two games would be beyond idiotic.

He nearly scored a hat trick & he's a striker. Spin it whatever way you want he had a good game. One of the few to come out of the spurs game with any credit too but you had the ones with their minds made up criticize him after that game too.Originally posted by Mattshark View PostI didn't think he played very well yesterday, it was a good goal and a lovely finish, but overall, his game was average.
I'm pretty sure Kenny will be starting him against the mancs anyway. Especially when Suarez most likely wont be, or if he does he'll be no where near full fitness and be getting subbed.

**** off, I'm sorry that I expect more from a striker than just goals, but I do.Originally posted by BringbackBiscan View PostHe nearly scored a hat trick & he's a striker. And be so ignorant to tell me think about players and their performances.
