I'd sell him for 1/4 of what we bought him for. Fraid thats just something we'll have to accept to get rid of players. We are going to take a huge loss but we can think of it as a clean slate once they are all out.

I think someone would take a punt around 8million at moment, But his value will decrease the more we play him.

We should have sold him last week after his goal in pre-season I think that would have been the optimum point to sell him.

I had a similair problem with a Fiat Punto. I put it for sale but nobody wanted it because I was clearly trying to recoup too much of the money Rice Lane motors had ripped me off for. The car was ****ed, leaked oil, lights flashed, it wouldnt work, it was a ridiculous purchase but I didnt know any better at the time. Someone who was a friend of a friend made a decent offer for it, but I felt too guilty to take it. In the end I took to leaving it in car parks with the door open. Nobody would even steal it. That Punto is Stewart Downing. I got rid of it eventually but it broke down being driven away. Head gasket went. I had to accept a ton less. Even as it was leaving my life it managed to have one last little drama. Stewart Downing is a 1999 Fiat Punto.

If he goes on a similar run in the first half of this season with no goals and assists, we will be lucky to find a club who will agree to pay our wages for the rest of his contract let alone get a fee.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

You can add other players to that list unfortunately.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
