But anyway, that's one comment. Generally, people are simply making a judgement on his ability and expressing it. It's not disrespectful.
I would say "useless marathon runner" is pretty disrespectful.

Right now the guy is trying his best. How many of our other players can you currently say the same thing about?

But at least Kuyt is determined and is trying his best.
We come back to the same point mate, and that is, trying his best or otherwise, he isnt good enough. It's a results business and i've always said, i LIKE kuyt, he's a very commendable lad, he works his balls off and he always shows appreciation to the fans when he's leaving the field, and that's something which means a lot, to me personally, at least. I've often expressed to people that when you've made a long journey, usually in ****ty weather and you're knackered and what-not, something as simple as acknowledging the fans means an awful lot and he does this every time, which is fantastic. Nobody can argue with that.

The main complaints about him are about him not being good enough and as i've said, i dont see how that's disrespectful, it's just honest.

As for at the game, that's heat of the moment and human nature. I 'groan' or get pissed off when any player fecks up in a game, whether it's Kuyt or any of the 'golden boys'. I dont think i'd read too much into that.

I can give you a list of 8 players, who are playing week in week out, who are also ****IN ****E, in terms of current form, effort, commitment etc. The difference is Kuyt is actually trying his best.

I've already acknowledged that comment in a previous post and sure, it's not complimentary, but it's hardly abusive. Unless you're implying a dim view on marathon runners?

But it's in the minority, either way. I felt that you were generalising a little with your perception of the 'treatment' he gets on here.

Let me have a stab at the 8.

              I`ll go for :-

              Torres
              Gerrard
              Babel
              Alonso
              Finnan
              Carragher
              Aurelio
              Riise

I dont think it's fair to include Torres, Finnan or Carra. They put the effort in.

He does get over the top treatment in here syd. Ive seen people kick off at him before a mtch has kicked off, and more then a few occasions where he has been one of the better performers in a bad game, yet he has been the one slated afterwards.

There does seem to be more flak aimed at him than any of the other players that are playing ****e

Syd, I myself have said the lad is not good enough. But the criticism he gets is unfair. This man has something, that currently pretty much the whole of the rest of the squad lacks, and it's something I value pretty much above all else:- INTEGRITY. The rest of those ****s are going out there and conning the match going public with their half-hearted efforts, and one of the main culprits is Gerrard. Kuyt is at least giving his all.

I'll say it here, people like Gerrard should be looking at people like Kuyt to try and pick things up about the game more than the other way around.

I dont pay good money to see half-hearted effort every week. But that's what I'm getting.

                          So does kuyt.

I was referring to players who have been playing ****e lately

Fair enough coops. I think it's a fine line between simply stating that you dont rate someone, and people perceiving it as being abusive or disrespectful.

Sorry, i thought you were listing players who you felt didnt put in a shift. Naturally kuyt works his arse off and fair play to him for that.

Just got a bee in my bonnett about this, and that went right over my head.

I just feel there are far more desereving objects of our criticism at the moment than Kuyt
