You can't compare to the average joe bloggs, they're not on £60k a week!

They've won the league, bigger stars than Dallas, they've got more silver than Buckhingham Palace, no one knows quite what to expect, when the Red Machine's in full effect!

I would say that is fair. But did he get offered that? You do not know, nor do I. This thread is being turned into a vehicle to slate Harry.

          Why?

Because he didnt sign a new contract! 3 days ago if i said we should sign Harry on a new contract, what response would i have got.

We know nothing about this contract we offered and most are happy Harry is moving on. So why slate him for not signing this contract. Lets be honest, he is not going to do much in the EPL. He should go to Italy IMO, he has a chance of doing something there.

Personally I think he is shot to bits. My favourite player he was.

EDIT: he doesn't owe us. When a club and player enter a contract, they know the risks. I believe tried as hard as he could to perform for us. His body failed to deliver.

My point was, & to be honest here i actually posted this a while back, that if Harry took a massive pay cut, kept his fitness for a season or two, that i wouldn't have minded him being a squad member.

I really didn't expect us to offer him a contract of any sort, but i thought if that situation arose it would give him the chance to at least prove he does have a real love of the club & fans, maybe even wants to prove it too, & would go some way to showing people he is not the greedy lazy guy many people have him down as.

Then i hear that he has indeed been offered such a deal, never mind the wage, it's about morally doing what's right, he has more than made his money from us, i thought he would jump at the chance, how wrong i was. I have totally misjudged this fella, gave him the benefit of the doubt for so long.

Fair enough. I would of loved him to do that. Unlikely though as he was fit to play a long time ago now and was not considered.

Lets face facts here, it's time for him to go. Personally I think if we felt there was a 50% chance of him coming good we would of offered him a decent contract. We probably offered him **** all because we know he is more than likely ****ed. Some one else will offer him something better and he will take it because he knows himself, in the back of his mind, he is pretty much ****ed.

he could of played this season for nothing mate, you know it, i know it and so does harry.

he was entitled to his wages whilst injured fair enough, but to be given the chance to REPAY those unearnd wages and turn it down is pathetic mate.

                he is undefendable.

Suppose it's a sad reflection of football in general, when you think about it, i wonder when or if ever a football player will make such a gesture as the one above.

When all is said & done, for a player who's earned so much for doing so little, through injury true, to play for a season for no wage for a club he supported, & who supported him, fans included, is not really a hardship.

What would it do for the players profile, any player at any club under these circumstances, they would be lauded surely. It would be a magnificent gesture, as i say not really a hardship, but for a footballer it would be a great example to set for the game in general.

But as we've found out here, i don't expect such a gesture to made any time soon.

well he's been paid for nothing for 5 years ffs.

any liverpool fan would of kissed rafa's hand after being offerd a new contract. A liverpool fan would of grasped the oportuntiy to re-pay the fans and managers faith in him after his long and expensive injury ridden career at this club. harry wont.

for a liverpool fan (in namw only, clearly) to turn away PURELY because the wage drop was too much, after all that has gone before is not a liverpool fan, he is classless.

go and fulfill your dream of playing abroad Harry, you could of gone a couple of years ago, but hey, why not stay and take the money until your contract runs out , and then ungraciousley back away when a new one is offered.

classless cunt of the very highest order.

"Kewell, will leave in the summer after the Australian reportedly rejected a new deal on reduced wages"

What an utter disgrace. I have lost any respect I had for the guy.

I hope he never, ever sets foot on Anfield again if true.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."
