Kewell and or his manager were severely deluded if they thought they would get anything near a high paying contract. After sticking by kewell he owed the club after being one of its highest paid-non-players for so long. Kewell doesnt need the money so this 'he's only doing whats best for his family' doesnt wash with me. He's a multi-millionaire and his Mrs is a TV star ffs. What about doing whats best for the club? I suppose he is in a way-by leaving. My estimation of harry has plumetted after this.

We have seen nothing to suggest that it is the money and not the location (I remember there has always been talk his wife wants to move to London) or number of games that he will play that were the decisive issue. He wouldn't get what we are paying him anywhere else and he will know that. I have my doubts that the 'reduced terms' were the problem at all."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

dont beat round the bush like - speak your mindOriginally posted by pezzzer View Postharry kewell is a ****ing cunt."Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

I am a Kewell fan but am really annoyed about this. I dont care about the contract he is on, that was based at the time and i do feel if has been cruelly unlucky with injuries.
There are a few issues i have with this situation. The first like many is that it seems he is looking for more cash. If true is a shame as the club will offer something close to his worth now, plus the player needs some perspective, he has been injured and as a result a revised lower offer was always likely.
Location maybe a possibility but then i feel his harping on about his love for the club is hollow.
To me though it just shows he doesnt have the fight in him for a first team place. Thats what disappoints me the most. He could have been told that it is likely if was to be a squad player but then this would have been his greatest chance to stick two fingers up at those who slate him and prove he does love the club and that he is worth the money he thinks he should be at.
For someone who says on many occasions how they love the club, he has gone a long way to prove his doubters right.Quit your jibber jabber!!!
Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??

Yeah great support has been shown by the majorityOriginally posted by EwarWoo View PostWell, if accounts of him turning down a lowerpaid contract are true, all sympathy goes out the window. We've supported his invalidity for 4 years and his reaction is to turn round and piss on our back.
I hope he goes to Newcastle. With their luck he'll break a leg the mercenery ******

The man's a complete prick
Rafa offered him a pay as you play deal and the ****er rejected it. He's a greedy ****house who has been taken the club for a ride for long enough. Im so glad to finally see the back off him
Isn't it ironic how yet again his latest injury occured while he was on international duty. International Duty that he asked to go on rather than train with the lads and try to get fit for a premier league match
**** off Harry

FYI he's played for Australia 30 times since he made his debut in 1996."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah

Harry probably feels he deserves a break and leaving LFC would be good for him. It's been bad luck after bad luck since he's been here.

When he signed we were all made up, got him cheap at £5m and we were all happy to pay him whatever wages he wanted. Unfortunately for Harry and LFC injuries have robbed him of a huge chunk of his career and he hasn't been able show us what he can do. A consistently fit Kewell would of been a joy to behold in a Red shirt.
The lad cannot help it if he gets injured, whether it be whilst at LFC or with Australia. He was more than worth the fee payed and well worth the wages but through nobodies fault he picked up alot of injuries, it happens in pro sports and in everyday life but it does happen. As fans we get frustrated with the player even though it isn't his fault, my frustration is with the fact that i know he would of been great if the injuries hadn't of happened.
