Thanks for digging that out Dave. The legal world is all about precedence and it seems it has been set. The club will go all the way with this to get his name cleared.Originally posted by ChesterDave View Posthttp://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2...nt-luis-suarez
Mackie banned for 8, 5 suspended for racially abusing ASaba in 2002.
So now we know the result of the appeal - reduced to 3 with 5 suspended. Still guilty, still smeared for life because they are too ignorant to understand cultural differences.*************************

Guys, Luis won't be ruined, he'll be more loved by LFC, and he'll be eager as hell to fight on and off the field, as will the club and it's fans.
imo it came down to one thing, and one thing only, and it had nothing to do with any evidence, it had to do with who the FA feared ruling against most, lets make sure they realise they made the wrong choice.

I'm disgusted by the verdict. ****ing cunts! In my opinion with the evidence that are public known Suarez should never, ever be punished for racism. ****ing hell, FA.
I'm also disgusted of seeing some Danish so-called Liverpool fans saying that the verdict is completely fair, and should not wear the Liverpool shirt any more. When you support a team, you support the clubs official statement and do not listen to the propaganda Evra and FA have told us. Liverpool would never support Suarez if the evidence of him being a racist were clear.
I've supported Suarez on Danish football sites all night long, and I will not stop until I'm proven wrong. So far it's a ****ing joke that he has gotten a £40k fine and eight games ban which ends after we played Scum away. I'm looking forward to read F.A.'s reasoning of why they have judged him guilty.
I support you Suarez! ****ing ruined the whole day, or let me rephrase the whole god damn week or month. I hope Liverpool and Suarez will appeal and win.JUSTICE FOR THE 96!

I think racism is abhorrent however I get confused trying to understand the application of it in complex cases like this, when applied to two fairly equal people e.g. Evra and Suarez.
I'm not clear on the relative pecking order of races of people. I'd assumed perhaps wrongly that people of the same race can't racially abuse one another or that those lower down some defined pecking order can't abuse those higher up the scale (e.g. a black man calling a white man a white c*nt isn't racist).
I think Suarez's grandfather was black which I assume means he's of mixed race. Is it that mixed race people are higher in the pecking order than black people and therefore able to abuse them racially? i had thought that the racist view of the world (e.g. as previously exercised in South Africa) was that mixed race was lower than blacks making it impossible for them to racially abuse blacks who are further up the scale.

I know there have been many references to Fergy in this thread already, but let's just stop.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostRoy Keane's recent interview now seems so telling. Ferguson obsessed with "power and control". He's a monstrosity.
KK repeats an ancient (Shanks etc) LFC mantra: in our own way we will deal with whatever is in front of us.
To keep on bitching about purplenose is not becoming in this context.
Until proven otherwise.

It's an incredible decision if they really haven't got any evidence other than Evra's.
I've only just got in from football.
I can't believe the FA have taken 8 weeks to come to what looks to be a knee-jerk reaction.
I'm also looking forward to the xenophobic articles tomorrow saying 'these foreigners come here and don't know how to behave by our rules blah blah'.
Oh I don't know.

I'm sorry. I disagree. We all die. It's always as if it's such a horrible concept. As if it's the worst thing that can happen in your life.Originally posted by Alex View PostSo being annoyed at someone being banned for something right or wrong is morally ok. It's called something like the universal constant of love/respect/being an upright human being first and foremost. People who clearly go against this will be taken care of by the universe. If not during the course of their waking lives, most *definitely* when they die. But anyway. I'm not going to get into an argument about it. The cunt's alive and that makes him a living cunt.
