Translation by a Danish lad on the offal forums:
Daniel Agger has broken his two highest ribs.
Daniel Agger sadly has to wave goodbye to the two Euro qualifiers against Cyprus and Portugal in October. The central defender had to be withdrawn in sundays game against Tottenham.
Today the implications of the injury were clear: Two broken ribs. So reports Agger's agent, Per Steffensen to sporten.dk.
-Daniel has broken his two highest ribs. Unfortunately it is exactly as dramatic as it appeared. It's extremely unfortunate. He will have to rest for 4 weeks and will then have to start training again with recovery in mind. He has had such a fantastic pre-season and has been involved all the way.
-He's upset of course, and it's so aggrevating that these stories will now again surface about him being injured all the time. What he needs now is rest, says Per Steffensen.
Morten Olsen will now have to find a replacement for Daniel Agger for the two games that will decide Denmark's Euro-fate.Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

It's unreal, just incredibly bad luck. Not like it's a muscular injury picked up in innocuous circumstances. Broken ribs are broken ribs. What can you do? I still don't want us to sell him as he's our best centre back but this relentless rotten luck is so ****ing frustrating. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The 'organisational skills' are totally overated. The players train and practice all week - it's not like they are making it up as they go along in the match and need somebody to come up with a plan and direction. They've been playing in their positions for years (bar the likes of Skrtel at right back). What exactly does this 'organisational work' entail that we'd concede 10 goals every game if Carragher wasn't playing? Carragher's organisational skills were so refined against Spurs that he got caught playing them onside several times, two of which led directly to goals.Originally posted by Darkon View PostAye, they are doing far to well
But I still hold that it is an ability to be captain of the defense and organising it as well as physcial attributes and technique when tackling etc. Or I should say a set of abilities that enables you to do so. Agger has them as well IMO, but Skrtel I don't have the greatest confidence in that respect.

yep i read and responded to that.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostCan't believe it was suggested in the match thread that he had taken himself off because he didn't fancy it.
Poor fella, this one is super unlucky.
for me both carra and agger need replacing but for totally different reasons.
agger because he just keeps getting injured. Some players are like this and he is one.
Carra i have thought for 2 seasons has been a fading force.
as a manager i dont think there is room for sentiment and you should be picked for now not for istanbul or the 3 or 4 years that he was one of the best centre halves in the world.
Coates is a replacement for one we need a replacement for the other.
also its not helping by not having a right back at right back, is it possible our right backs are injury prone too?

Can't do anything about impact injuries.
Funny how Agger gets battered for being injury prone but Gerrard is just unlucky.
Not having a dig in any way just that in this instance Agger has been really unlucky, unreleated to any previous injury, nothing he could have done about it and if he has broken 2 ribs then he put his life in danger playing on as another bad bang could have meant one of them puncturing a lung.
So much for his low pain threshold as well, broken ribs are right up there are the worst or the worstThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

some injuries are expected due to the pace and physical nature of the league.
Also possible as you get older you get injured more.
