Of course not. He's not worth that sort of money.

But I'd rather keep him. It's pretty easy to waste the £40m when we look to replace him.

    Bird in the hand innit.

Dont really want him here if he is planning on disrupting our Pre Season. If as reported he wants to dig his heels in and force something through then we need him gone to get the money in for replacements.

Id obviously not see a player of his talents leave, but its getting to the point of it being disruptive by the looks of it. So sack him off.
      *Except Michael, who died.

Let him train with the kids while we're over there - doesn't change our stance with City. Pay up or he stays.

I thought there might be a small chance he's stay but after this latest revelation, that's that really. A bit gutted but hoping we'll still bring in another quality player (and I don't mean Bentekkers)

Suarez threatened the same, then turned up with a sulk on.

Difference is Suarez was and is a world class player, doesn't make his behaviour right as for Sterling he want's to leave fine ok,but his Fake Agent and Man City have had enough time to do a deal, fine him £100k and take him on tour...Small time pimp

From his side they probably think we are overcharging and thus hampering his move and career.

Also, i think the only reason Suarez stayed is because Barca didn't come in with a serious offer, or he'd have been gone before or after the Ozzie tour. (oh, and Arsenal would only improve their bid by a quid. )

Same could well apply to Sterling if City get cold feet.

Simple breach of contract this isn't it? I know they're not worth the paper they're written on, but still we've got the lad bang to rights if he takes the arse. Fine him, make him train with the kids, make him realise he's acting like the spoilt child he is.

He should do one, but nice to see the club playing hardball on the fee

nah after being named most valuable player in Europe?that carries a hefty price tag,he's got a poor attitude along with poor advice from his agent and whoever, you want to leave fine, why not push the boat out and refuse to attend pre-season training? which he probably will do but then he knows he will be in breach of his contract.

However, only aspect I don't agree with several posters is that all of this issues are entirely due to his agent. He is 20 years old, not 8. All of this is happening because he wants it.

I said earlier hes got the brains of Terry ****wit
