Despite Sterling’s sustained attempts to force LFC's hand, Anfield officials are adamant that he will only be sold for £50m. Sterling accepted an invitation to have dinner at Rodgers’ house in May & he's regularly spoken about his debt of gratitude to BR.(James Pearce)Last edited by Bender; 08-07-15, 08:14 PM.

and if City won't stump up just feck him into the reserves if he won't knuckle down (I'd at least give him the chance to show he can be professional if he can't leave).

That might be true if the contract stated he is expected to be a first team player. I dont think that would of been there when he last signed. Besides there have been many players we've gotten who play for us then suddenly never again. Not on the subs bench either. Just in reserves. All the manager has to say is he doesnt think the player is at the level he expects because of whatever. Leaving him in the reserves wouldnt be a problem.
