Just when you think we have a player on our hands he goes and put's in a performance like last night. It's happened over and over again.

What we need is a group of players who will at least give you a 6/10 consistently.

I would love Henderson to turn out to be the player we all want him to be and has shown in flashes of but I've lost patience with him. He's just such an enigma, whereby he can do the tricky things well (sometimes) but messes up really simple tasks and just looks nervous and cowardly.

It may do or it may not. Brendan might buy players that turn out to be poor, but he doesn't suffer fools unlike previous managers. Which is at least one redeeming quality.

He could carry on playing them even though they are playing rubbish, being his signings n'all. But has the courage to bring the flak upon himself and not play them if they aren't performing.

Jesus one bad performance in ages and he gets slagged off.

We played last night, away from home, without a defensive midfielder. I don't know about you but that strikes me as very odd.

Especially when you consider Zenit's European home record.

It doesn't take a genius to work out that a midfield of Allen/Henderson/Gerrard isn't strong enough defensively.

Personally I think Allen and Henderson perform similar job functions - keeping things ticking over, 90 minutes of running power, ability to get forward or drop back. Basically the jack of all trades - supporting the defensive midfielder as well as the attacking one.

God how we wished Dalglish would ditch Hendo and/or Downing for Maxi last season. Lost years. Don't ever want to see that again.

A bit unfair in my opinion - Shove him on the left hand side and he hasn't a got a clue - Play him in the diamond 3 with lucas and Gerrard and we've been producing some good stuff over teh last few weeks
