Henderson actually presses the ball more than Allen does

I keep saying it about Allen but I'm not actually sure what he adds to the side overall

He cant defend to save his life, hes easily shrugged off the ball and he doesnt work hard enough out of possession for me. Going forward he contributes little as well, he hasnt effected the play enough, he contributes little or no assists and hasnt managed to get on the score sheet yet and imo he slows us down in possession

For me Henderson at least has some redeeming features and there is no coincidence that we look better with Henderson in and Allen out of the side

Yeah. He said he wished Maxi was 21 as he was that good and that important. Then went on to never pick him again and told us all how Downing was better than what he thought. Not sure what he was paying £20m for in all honesty, must have had pretty low standards

Downing was and is an unmitigated disaster but its not as if Brendan hasnt had his own catastrophes in the market

        £11 million for Borini

A forward who cant pass, shoot or dribble.

Still at least his movement is fantastic.... what is it 3 or 4 clubs in 2 years

You keep missing the point, Brendan doesn't play Borini despite the disaster. Kenny would have given Borini every single minute of every game if he purchased him.

Not to mention the £9m difference in price and probably £30k per week in wages and also not to mention the fact we bought Downing when we could have signed Mata instead. And then not to mention the age difference

              Back to Henderson.

I really rated him as I think he has every attribute to make a great footballer. Unfortunatley, he just doesn't have a fast enough processor in his brain. He will do really well at, er, Sunderland where such quick thinking is not required.

                Both are equally poor judgement

Either way the money is wasted - that is the point

Money is wasted yes. But one manager admits his mistakes and the other refuses. Everyone can and does make mistakes, the mark of a man is to accept and learn from them. Not to do so is far more damaging in the long run.

yes but we are not Man City, We cannot afford these transfer mistakes. 30m invested well last summer would have made a massive dfference, now we are having to rely on the players that weren't deemed good enough last season and surprisingly enough they are not good enough this season either.

I think last summer is a tough one as we had no scouting dept and that made a big difference. January has already looked like a better window.

Nice to see you are giving time to the players. Borini, although not playing well has been injured for near on 4 months. Allen we can all accept hasn't been as good as we expected, but I would hardly call that a catastrophe. Id give him a while before he is written off. Just look at Henderson.

No disrespect Lecter, but you seem to be taking glee in Rodgers' signings not being up to scratch.

I'm not convinced Brendan has learned from his mistakes

Hes still playing Joe Allen afterall

He's not the only one though, it's mad how many 'fans' are currently in 'smug mode'

No he's not really. You cant expect him to totally bomb him out of the side can you? But he doesnt really start at the moment. Apart from last night when did he first start? I cant remember, Oldham maybe?

I dont take any glee out of the signings being poor, I want whats best for LFC

**** signings most definitely arent best for LFC

Borini, irrespective of the number of games hes played he hasnt shown anything like it in terms of technical ability, desire or anything else that matters enought to be a forward in the Premier League

Sturridge on the one hand took 1 game to show enough

Oh and I'll give Rodgers credit Sturridge lookes a good buy, hes far better than I thought he would be

As for Henderson, I always thought he would turn out an ok player. Dont get me wrong he was poor last year but there was still something about him I quite liked on occasion

I just dont see that in Allen
