I don't think he is a substandard player, he does excel in a few areas which is more than can be said of Downing and Spearing.

He needs players like Vaughan and Lucas to make him look good.

It never made Blackpools midfield good enough and he never helped us score enough before Lucas' injury (nor did it help his decision making).
He should never have been signed in the first place.

Yes, our midfield is very weak though and last season we had a mental determination to keep playing the same under performing players.

I think Adam is too fat and lazy to succeed in a Rodgers system. Not good at tracking players and a large part of his philosophy relies on trying to get the ball back as quickly as possible after its been lost.
