Trent for me, might be his coming of age a bit like Gerrard when he was young and had been given the responsibility. Virgil won't provide longevity and I don't believe keepers make good captains as they can't influence the game or the officials anywhere near as easily as an outfield player.
Trent still has 'drop the ball' moments like most young players, so maybe this extra responsibility will make him switch on 100% of the time... and he's local, so who better.Comment

It would be a bit weird to see Trent berating team mates for lacking concentration. After last season, it would be ridicous to expect him to step up imho.
