I like the way him and Agger have not only become a great pairing, they have also become the muscle of the team. Any sign of trouble and they'll be right there, backing up their team mates and taking no **** off anyone. The way they backed Luis up at Old toilet was great to see.Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

I think Carra should be shown a little more respect. He's earnt it. No doubting, and he'll be the first to say it, that his best days are behind him. But he's still a good player to have on the sidelines.
But having read his book, I do wonder if he'll stick around for next season.Forwards.......

i was only joking mate. carra's been a brilliant servant and his legendary status is secured. skrtel does appear to more in control and at ease when not paired with him though.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think Carra should be shown a little more respect. yeah i wouldn't be surprised if he pursued first team football elsewhere for a season or two before he hangs up the boots. ideally he'd want to see out his career with us, but football isn't always that clearcut is it.

I think Skrtel and Agger have finally learned to stand on their own two feet without Carra telling them exactly what to do. They've taken on extra responsibility and it's paid off for them.Originally posted by Roger View Posti was only joking mate. carra's been a brilliant servant and his legendary status is secured. skrtel does appear to more in control and at ease when not paired with him though.

I remember reading Carra's comments on how he wouldn't want to be a bit part player anywhere. That he wouldn't feel he could celebrate winning a trophy if he didn't feel as involved. He might have had a change of heart with his advancing years, minds are often changed as a person develops with age.
I'll be watching very closey. But I wouldn't be shocked if he moved on, whilst I imagine there would be a few who would be.Forwards.......

I wouldn't be surprised neither if he decides to do what Sami has done and go play footie some place else.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostI think Skrtel and Agger have finally learned to stand on their own two feet without Carra telling them exactly what to do. He has been outstanding servant of this club for years but in terms of his footballing career he is finished with us unless he wants to be a squad player.
Personally I'd like to see him stay one more year as you never know what can happen with injuries but to me he needs to be 4th choice CB as Coates needs more playing time and if we want him to develop into a first team player in next couple years.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
