Apart from the time in the first half where he left a gaping hole in the middle of our defence to let Dembele run through to shoot straight at Pepe he played really well.

Yea he was caught ball watching early doors and if Pepe didn't bail him out he'd been at fault for a goal. Solid after that.

No it wasnt, it was dreadful defending but pretty much the only mistake he's made for ages.

The midfield let the runner go unimpeded. Skrtel did have a dodgy moment when he attemtpted a clearance and barely scraped the ball with a wild-looking swing when it was pinging about in the box, but generally he was solid and composed, again.

Looks a much better player when he's along side Agger.

Skrtel is too much like Carra, they have the same strengths and weaknesses. Either player should line up with Agger and do a job. Playing them together is suicidal. Unfortantely, Agger has roved to be unreliable in terrms of fitness. Hopefully Coates will step in to replace him in future, and not Carra.
