Don't think he was a liability last season, he was pretty good.

I thought last year his tackling from behind gave away a lot of needless free kicks, this is an area he has improved on, making better decisions of when and what type of tackle.

lack of concentration and poor marking was his problem last season

There'll be a number of factors helping Skrtel. A settled back 5, Clarke, and his own confidence have turned him into a consistently excellent centrehalf.

I think having a settled partnership and playing on his natural side have helped him hugely.

Was watching the match with a united fan last night who before the match was adamant that we should be looking to replace Skrtel with Cahill, he soon shut up.

              Immense performance last night again.

Blows my mind that just over a year ago Hodgson was still in charge and Skrtel looked like a complete liability and Agger looked to be on the way out.

Hodgsons treatment of Agger was nothing short of revolting.

Every player was a liability last season before Kenny came in.

I don't think that was so much the players, more the manager.

For the way he treated Agger, Bodge should be taken out and executed in front of Mike Kelly.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

On a related note. Mr. Ferguson turning 70 takes him closer to his death bed.

He is also looking quite dangerous from corners peeling off defenders and getting in glancing headers near post. Big fan of Skrtel, lost his way for awhile. but I never lost faith in him, remember that season he had with Carra, best in the land then and hes back to that level now. With Carra, Kelly, Flanno and Aurelio on the bench we really have a great defensive set up
