While it wasn't the ideal header out, Enrique was caught out badly and Adam just stood around and watched.

I think Carra should be shown a little more respect. He's earnt it. No doubting, and he'll be the first to say it, that his best days are behind him. But he's still a good player to have on the sidelines.

But having read his book, I do wonder if he'll stick around for next season.

Skrtel's aerial improvement is nothing short of dramatic. He is not as rash as he used to be either, looks more calm and composed than ever and the consistency in his performances are most welcome. Massive improvement and player of the season for us thus far IMO. Devastated Agger is injured as the two were forged a great partnership

Superb game again from Skrtel. Rectified his partial mistake with a goal too.

Played excellently again. Only problem with him and Agger (other than fitness) is that they don't yet have an influence of how we play. Carragher came on and was instantly looking to play longer balls out. Before that we had controlled possession nicely, with the defence playing a big part. Skrtel needs to be more authoritative in those areas.

His heading was particularly good most of today - marked difference to two seasons ago.
