Skrtel & Agger compliment each other. But I think Agger would be the harder and more expensive one to replace.

Yes he is quite a hard tackler but he rarely does tackle with ferocity because he reads the game so well. But Skrtel is an absolutely lethal tackler and is very quick. Sami/Henchoz played in a team that was set up to defend. And Sami/Carra quite literally had the best midfield in the world playing in front of them. It's very difficult to compare the 3 pairings but I'd say they are/were alll amazing pairings. In terms of technique, the current pairing is the best by far.
