Was very good today again... good partnership forming with Sakho. He needs to keep his hands to himself as the shirt pulling at set pieces is getting a bit ridiculous. Most CB's do it but seen as BT Sports kindly mentioned it about 500 times... no doubts Skrtel will be a marked man by refs.

Apart from that he was excellent in the air and in the tackle.. also showing great anticipation too. Was never a huge fan of Skrtel as i always thought he was too rash and always a minute away from making a mistake, but he has been excellent this season. Strange to think Agger is no longer a regular starter but other ahead of him deserve to be there at the moment IMO.

Skrtel made countless saving tackles. Covered for Johnson whole game and sahko whole second half. No doubt he made mistakes but was fantastic today overall playing in our very dodgy defence. We have a problem at CB.

Who were the commentators today One of them went on and on about how Suarez would have dived and how we went down easily when he was kneed in the back by Lescott. It drove me nuts.

Yep, his supposedly brilliant tackle at the end there was just him reedeming another woeful mistake that saw their player just stroll past him. Nice recovery that time but I'd rather we had a kid at the back learning while making mistakes, he's what 29?! He'll never change.

Probably while covering from Glen's latest walkabout, Cissokho's ambling back from another brainless charge, Sakho's dazed Bambi impression or some such.

Either way, good thing he was where he was.....


In reality, we all need better than we have going forward, but he certainly wasn't the reason we lost today.
