Was bullied by Matt Smith against Oldham and deserved to be dropped. But this season he's come out fighting and his aggression is right up there with what I used to expect. Much improved.

I don't know what happens behind the scenes, but Skrtel clearly got bombed by Rodgers last season and was going to be sold. Somehow, he's managed to get himself right with the boss who has rewarded his efforts and performances fairly with a run in the team. It's good we've now got 4 excellent central defenders.Comment

He's a ****in good centre back who is back to his level after a poor-ish season by his standards. Yes he can be rash, and sometimes doesn't punch his weight, but it's great to see him playing so well again. His problem is getting mugged by **** but physical players. Doesn't happen all the time but he's been bullied a few too many times by seriously limited players.

Parry saying how amazing he was over and over again baffled me. Thought he was atrocious and not because of the deflection and OG. Losing battles with Davies at corners, not doing anything v their fella on the 3rd. It must just be me but I really dont see it with him and it's not a coincidence we barely get a clean sheet with him in the team.

Seems like Brendan still hasn't learnt his lesson when it comes to our Martin, the guy is an utter liability, always has been and as long as he is in the team we will continue to concede goals.
I find it strange that BR permanently dropped Skrtel last season in favour of a 35 year old Carragher but now he's back in the team over Agger and Sakho, stupid decision which cost us big time.
Hopefully today the penny drops once and for all for Brendan.Comment
