Rodgers to me looks as though he knows hes a doomed man (either that or he doesnt give a ****, which is something I wouldnt imagine from him)

Just look at his decision making recently, ditching the 3-4-3 at times to switch back to the Swansea system or multiple switches of tactics and formation in each game. Bringing back Johnson who is finished, playing Balotelli in games when he hasnt worked out so far

If heads are to roll and it's not Brendan then it may well be Ayre and the transfer committie.

Give Brendan his head this season coming. If it's a disaster then he'll be out the door.

If Rodgers doesn't then he's a very lucky boy after the dross the team has served up this season.

I do still have some belief in him. I can't help but think we'd be foolish to get rid of him after the football we played last year. Wouldn't it be great if we bought well and got back to playing free flowing, high scoring football like last year.

I do think we're capable of it but we need massive changes this summer.
Its not just the goalscoring thats missing

We dont press the ball as well, we lack energy and tempo

I think there is a lot wrong with us apart from the obvious GOALS

Yes that's true, we've not played in the same way as we did last year but we have lost Suarez and Sturridge. I think had we had better finishers the team may have played with more confidence and naturally pressed better, much like we did against City at Anfield.

We do have it in us but I think the team's confidence has been completely shattered from the very start of the season, especially after getting so close last year.

Rodgers is on the committee that is responsible for signing players. They dont sign anyone without his input / final say

Rodgers picks the team and the tactics, coaches the players

              So who do we sack???

This feels like the run up to the Comolli sacking, which was the precursor to Kenny going. I'd say its looking pretty bleak for Brendan just now - and given that there are some managers available this summer with far better pedigrees, I'd say the time is just about right for a change.

I'm not disagreeing with you Lec', I was just following up your question with an observation based on Cream's quote. i.e. who gets the bullet if the bloke in charge (BR) doesn't?

                  Seems perverse if true.

Thats how I feel, I think Brendan could have possibly got away with it if he had finished strongly but the form has tailed off dramatically

I wonder if it might be a reorganisation of responsibilities. Brendan might be offered the chance to stay on in a head coach capacity, and a restructuring of the recruitment process might see him taken away from player purchases. Changing that might also get away from the **** ups we seem to see every time there's a transfer window.

Funnily enough if I was Rodgers and wanted to save my neck this is the line I would be taking

If I was him I would possibly suggest to FSG that they appoint a DOF above me

I think hes done though personally

A lot of the players he's bought - had the final say on aren't Blackpool FC standard. In no particular order.

Allen Lovren Aspas Borini Lambert Kolo Alberto

I can't go on as those have depressed me more than I thought. Maybe Brendan thought he could polish MULTIPLE turds
