No excuses though, if he can't attract top quality players to the club, then that's an issue in itself, right up there with tactics, man management, etc. I also don't want to be hearing about it being difficult to replace Sterling, as though he's Suarez.
Its only madness if there is nobody better as an alternative

Granted, but as Rodgers is pretty much unproven at this level, how do we know this early on that he isn't the best man for the job?

I'm not making excuses for the man, if truth be told I've never taken too him, but we can't simply go around sounding out other managers who potentially may do a better job, its not right and wouldn't sit well with me.

We've got him here, he did well last season, not so well this season, so lets give him another try next season and see if there's any improvement. Who knows, it may be one step back and two forward.

LFC called a 'crisis meeting' today, couple of heads may roll, worth stating explicitly that Rodgers position absolutely not on the agenda.
Brandt - Keita - Van Dijk - Sessegnon

As someone who is undecided in should he stay or go, I can't help thing back to Southampton, when Adkins had got them promoted to the PL, staved of relegation , they promptly sacked him and brought in someone who in fairness was better.
Its a results business and sentiment shouldn't get in the way (££££ do), so, if someone is better than BT is out there, why shouldn't they git rid ?
I make no apologies, this is me

Yes he did well last season, but its the swapping systems that worries me.

I am absolutely certain he will go back to his 4-3-3 Swansea system and the fact is it just doesnt work or hasnt come close to so far

I am sure some will say that managers arent tied to particular systems / methods but most managers have Hodgson syndrome (these tactics / methods have worked for 30 odd years) and are unlikely to change

Frankly I'd rather not go back to watching the ****e hes served up first half of most seasons its sterile insipid bollocks

I feel now exactly as I did when Houlliers time up was approaching and after Roy had been here 3 weeks

We should be exploring other alternatives, if there isnt anyone better lets persists with Brendan but if either of Rafa, Klopp or De Boer were available we should be all over them

IMO there are a few alternatives who are better options than giving Brendan another season

Someone has to get sacked to be fair.

The bloke who cleans the loos?

He's the main man behind the Anfield Wrap. They defo hear stuff from time to time and he's not really ever posted ITK stuff before.

Hopefully heads will roll from top to bottom. Absolute failure this season by all involved.

He does pop up with some stuff now and again, but I reckon its mostly from journos.

Wonder who's going to get the chop.

If Rodgers doesn't then he's a very lucky boy after the dross the team has served up this season.

I do still have some belief in him. I can't help but think we'd be foolish to get rid of him after the football we played last year. Wouldn't it be great if we bought well and got back to playing free flowing, high scoring football like last year.

I do think we're capable of it but we need massive changes this summer.

Or maybe just sack the people responsible for the **** rather than sack everyone.
