Just wish he had a bit more big game management in him and realised some games are must not lose against your rivals. but he has had to learn the hard way ,
He should've learned that against Chelsea. And our team in general should've learned that in every game in this league you have to start like its a World Cup final, chasing down everything until the game has settled down and you're in control. Too many games we just let slip by. I also can't fathom why Rodgers persists with players who don't move in the final third.

Balotelli is a monster. He's like a fast Bony. But instead of causing defenders problems, he causes us problems by dropping off into midfield all the time. Which'd be fine if he was any good at it but he hasn't got a creative bone in his body. I'm sure he's been asked to stay on the last man and be an outlet, he just doesn't listen or care. Yet fans still defend him. Can't believe idiots in the Kop sing his song.

My feeling is we had a solution then bit by bit we lost the players that were making it work. Sakho, Lucas, Lallana, Ibe, Moreno & Skrtel were all key in making the 3421 work and we just seemed to lose too many at once. Toure trying to play central in a three man defence against Arsenal was ridiculous.

Losing Ibe seemed a big blow, but instead of putting Markovic there where he'd done quite well, we started playing Henderson or Sterling there. Even Lallana had spells out there. It seemed Rodgers was desperate to pile players in who'd done well, even if they were unsuited to playing the position they were put in.

Then we played Newcastle and created a host of chances with Phil as a false 9. Haven't seen that tried since and we haven't hardly threatened the opposition since then either.

                          2) If the squad isn't good enough after three summer windows, that's also on him.

The fact is, we sold our only worldclass player while our our rivals bought the likes of Di maria, Sanchez, Costa and Fabregas. We ****ed up THIS summer.

I hoped for it, for sure, even thought we probably would, but if you expected it really you've let yourself down.
Not really, my expectation was probably crystalised at the end of last season

Its not so much about what United spent or would spend its how we spent our money

We lost Suarez but I expected us to buy a striker capable of banging in a few goals

Who is our highest scorer in the league? Is it Sterling?? I bet he hasnt scored 10 League goals has he??

There is an absolute direct correlation between goals scored and points earned in fact I bet its almost a 1:1 ratio

We didnt spend our money wisely, thats an absolute given

When the season started I probably adjusted my expectations as the performances were (barring Spurs away) slow, sluggish and Rodgers had reverted back to the 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1 Swansea system he loves so much but at that time United looked ****e also

The thing that grates me is that even with spending £200 million United have been ****ing ****e, its just we have been ****ing worse

We had a platform to build from after last season, yes we had to replace Suarez but still we had a system and style to build on but we completely ****ed it up by switching again and going back to re-work something again

So yes I thought we would make 4th and I probably would have accepted 5th if we had actually played well. However we have just not played well this season barring a handful of games. Even in our run our performances at time were not great

The transfers were a **** up but I think tactically and in terms of system wise Brendan has made a massive **** up

The football is ****ing abysmal, its insipid.

As much as I remain unconvinced about Rodgers, it would be madness to let him go now. He needs next season IMO. Time for his players to prove themselves after having a whole season to bed in, a season with a (hopefully) more resilient Sturridge, 2 or 3 REAL quality additions, including a partner for Sturridge (and I don't mean Origi).

No excuses though, if he can't attract top quality players to the club, then that's an issue in itself, right up there with tactics, man management, etc. I also don't want to be hearing about it being difficult to replace Sterling, as though he's Suarez.
