In almost every game we play we'll have two or three lads playing in 3 different positions. The team often uses two or three systems in a game. The players won't know their arse from their elbow as they are in a constant state of flux.

If Klopp came on telly right now and said he'd love the LFC job, I'd take him straight away.
I think amongst certain circles its well known Klopp fancies the LFC job .. its taylor made for him

How many players did we have on the pitch that would be classed as 'in their peak'(between 27 and 29)?

        Zero.

I'm discounting Mignolet, because a goalkeeper peaks later.

In the grand scheme of things it is a minor point but... WTF was he doing waiting until stoppage time to throw on Lambert?! I mean we're desperate for a goal, any goal. You just stick another striker up there with enough time for something good or lucky to come off. You don't roll your last dice on 90. Ridiculous.

It was just dumb and summed up his performance in the game.

Like I said before, what's he building towards? New formation every season, players that don't fit the style, 200m spent and we still look like half the squad isn't good enough. It's a mess. Yesterday 5 of the subs were either right backs or strikers and yet we had none in the first XI. What's the plan? He looks completely out of his depth.

I haven't committed as to whether I want Rodgers gone or not, because it's tricky. He's flexible and is willing to make changes where required. However, there's the issue of the transfers made last summer, the money spent, and our performances in the last 3 big games when it's mattered. There's also the issue of what our preferred formation will be next season if he stayed. We've changed it quite often because the players haven't suited the original plan. The final games of the season make no difference to me.

If Klopp wanted the job, I'd twist and give him the role. All of the players would respect him due to his coaching credentials, and hang on his every word. I'd also want a DOF and the committee abolished. We need someone to continue with a clear vision of what is wanted here.

4 chances of a trophy at the start of the season -
CL - Never realistic in a million years
                    PL - See above
                    FA Cup - Semi Final
                    Capital Cup - Semi Final.

I struggle to see how following up a 2nd place with a top 5 or 6 finish and 2 semi finals is abject failure causing hysterical breakdowns.
Yes we'd like to finish top 4 and win something but we're miles behind the other 4 in terms of spending on transfers and wages - it's a proven fact that final league position correlates with spend.

Last year people criticised Rodgers for getting knocked out of the cups early, this year he's criticised for 'only' reaching the semi finals in both.

I'd say that there has been signs of improvement in all his 3 seasons, what Rodgers deserves in another year to try and pull it all together.

Don't underestimate the positive effect of not dealing with the Gerrard circus every single week will have as well.
Losing the Gerrard of 2015 as a player is a blessing.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I think he was trying to find some clever way of working with the fact that yet again, we had no striker. I don't think any coach could cope with such a handicap for almost a whole season.

It's not losing in the semi final yesterday it has been the total abject performance of the team and manager. Our biggest game of the season and not only did the team not turn up but neither did the manager.

Needing a goal he waited until the 90th minute to bring on Lambert which was useless as what is he suppose to do with such little time left?

2-1 down and he brought Glen Johnson on of all people. Then the total car crash of a player that is Lovren and spending £20m on him to replace Agger. Give me half a season of Agger over that donkey any day of the week,

Lets not even get into the total car crashes that were the Arsenal and united games.

No fight no passion absolutely nothing.

Then it his and the committees fault for not signing one in January. You could see a mile off that Sturridge would get injured again and we would be up **** creek and that has happened.

We need the right blend in our starting eleven. We need some leaders and that is highlighted even more when you start to consider who could be our next club captain.
Think there is more to it than that Muds

Its as much about personality as age, Allen and Henderson are hardly youngsters anyway yet they are bossed regularly

Remember we had Alonso & Gerrard in a midfield that won the Champions League they were probably only 22 and 23 at the time

As I say its more than just age / experience its about bottle, desire etc.. and thats before we even discuss the physical attributes required

I'd probably be the same with De Boer as well

Although hes probably a bigger risk
