3 years and a lot of money later we are no further forward.

To many games playing midfielders at RB and wingers as strikers.

To many Meh games lost due to cunfusing tactics or un motivated players.
I was sceptical at the start, loved last season but I this season has been so astronomically poor it beggars belief. I can't see him turning this around and he I cringe every time he speaks. His transfer targets also don't inspire any confidence what so ever.

I agree with the negative FOOTBALL RELATED observations surrounding him but I don't think he should be sacked without a viable replacement. For me, there is only one person that I would like to see take over, and it looks like he's taking a sabbatical for a little while

I just hope we don't miss the boat, because Rodgers will not survive a dodgy start to the season. If we're struggling by November, I reckon he's a goner. Hopefully Klopp will have had enough of a break by then
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Managers don't come back from from this level of negatively. He's lost the fans, the media and if the performances on pitch are anything to go by then he's lost the players too. He's finished and if in the unlikely event he keeps his job it'll signal FSG really don't give a **** and just want to tick along until the stadium is sorted and they can sell.

I agree that we should not sack without having someone else lined up, maybe neither Klopp or Ancelotti are indeed available. But I have lost every ounce of faith in Rodgers and I'm starting to loath him, his targets reek of mediocrity.

For me it's about attracting the right players. I think we have failed to attract the right players and continue to fail do so because Rodgers is ... for want of a better way to phrase it ... a no-name manager.

I am now worried about what prospective transfer targets think when they look at Liverpool now. I think they see a club on the slide and don't see any ambition any more.
No! I am NOT in denial!

This is one of my major concerns

If he doesnt hit the ground running the fans will be straight on his back

In financial value for money we're much better off, we were still finishing 6th, 7th, 8th with a much more expensive squad.

So if we're performing the same or slightly better with a much cheaper/younger squad how is that a bad thing?

Financially wise I mean, it's clearly **** we're still between 5th and 8th results wise.
Whilst we're better off financially (no doubt about that) I don't believe we have better financial assets in terms of our playing squad.

Have we many £30m+ pound players in terms of todays market? Sterling (at a push)

Have we many £20m-£30m players? Maybe Sturridge, Henderson

Have we many £15m-£20m players? Although we purchased Markovic and Lovern at £20m they wouldn't be worth that now given their regression. Would Allen, Lucas, Skrtil et el command fees that high?

Agree there's an element of overperformance based on previous years but still....

I totally agree mate and this is why it is vital that we secure a well respected manager. We do not have any world class players who prospective signings would like to play alongside.

The idea of signing for a manager who has twice won the league and got to a CL final would be infinitely more appealing than one who is largely unknown outside of the British media, has won **** all and presided over a CL capitulation.

Good post, this is exactly how German fans view us, an old name fallen on hard times due to bad management.

He's not up to it. Next season will be another disaster if he's still here. I haven't seen a single argument that warrants him keeping his job. It would be staggering.

I'm genuinely concerned that I will not be able to think rationally and I'll probably be second to jump on his back, after captainfog This is such a mess.

I agree mate. At best next season is going to be like a rebuild season again imo. I'd much rather be doing that with a fresh start rather than trying to start again with a manager who has not won anything in the 3 seasons and millions of pounds he has had since being here.
