Yep! He was a complete dickhead, having a whine at the fans for protesting two idiots who were about to bankrupt the club. The "our best performance of the season" drivel after we were completely humiliated at Goodison Park, he was also having a good old laugh with Moyes when shaking hands at the end. "Sir Alex is entitled to any opinion he wants to have but I'm not going to come here and say I agree or disagree" when Ferguson had a go at our star striker for apparently diving. "They'll be a formidable challenge - there's no question about that." before facing 4th tier Northampton Town at home. On Torres to Man Utd : I think we will cross that bridge when we come to it. There will always be speculation. When a great player like Wayne Rooney is looking to leave his club, then you know Manchester United will be in a position to target a lot of players around the world. I don't think Fernando will be the only striker they target". "A famous victory" as we grab a 1-0 victory away to a hapless Bolton side.Originally posted by Pablo View PostThe booing for Hodgson was as much a part for his personality, and behaviour in interviews, as it was for the turgid football. He earned it by being a total prick.
As crap as we are now I don't think the same can be said for Rodgers.
And....
"to get a result here would have been utopia" after the Everton game. A match we were used to just strolling up and winning regardless of how well we played. "“’Liverpool will get worse and worse’ is what he said”
Everyone I know in football respects the job I’m doing here and aren’t too surprised it hasn’t been an easy start. In fact, 95 per cent would have predicted it as [Jose] Mourinho did. ‘Liverpool will get worse and worse’ is what he said and if the great man Mourinho says it, I don’t know why you don’t quote him.". "We are right up there in terms of results" (having won 7 points from 18 and being 11th in the form table)"
And theres 100s more. This guy was, is and will always remain an utter cunt. A disease on this sport. It might feel worse because the Rodgers stuff is going on right now but he talks nowhere near as much rubbish, is nowhere near as disrespectful of the club, city and supporters and as of yet hasnt had us in relegation scrap in January so I wish people would shut up about it.

next time we go shopping we need to buy some candles because another power cut is on the way...removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I agree with you on everything but the last bit, that's only because we arent in January, I reckon he'd be perfectly capable of steering us towards the lower half, and he has a better squad than Hodgson ever did. But of the two Hodgson is two notches above in terms of woeful personality etc.Originally posted by Chris View PostAnd theres 100s more. This guy was, is and will always remain an utter cunt. Feel free to disagree.

The new manager coming in is under less pressure for this season. Nobody expects anything so why would someone come in facing that run of games. And lets say ancelotti takes over and loses the next 4, that's not a great way to start at a new club. Better to let the current manager lose those toughies for you and you take over with a better view on the horizon.Originally posted by The_weatherman View PostDisagree, let's say we get 1-3 points over the next three games, which is totally plausible given how things are going, the task becomes huge for a new manager. Southampton, Chelsea and Bournemouth are waiting to leapfrog us and we are four points off fourth as it stands, we can't afford to lose that many points or we'll never even have a chance of catching up. The team needs a lift and change, it's obvious, waiting will only make the job harder for the new guy.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

But on the flip side, a new manager can give a team and fanbase a massive boost... especially initially. Thats exactly what we need. We should not wait, it should have been done the day after the Stoke game. We have waited too long and have paid a price for that. Let's not wait any longer & try a salvage this season by getting in a manager of genuine class and pedigree.

He seems to have changed his tone a little, this is probably what they were referencing:
But it's Beecroft, so salt liberally.“John W Henry would have looked at that performance and thought, ‘this is not good enough and a change has to be made’, and I understand that is going to happen,” Beecroft told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast.
“In fact, the club board were split in what to do with Brendan Rodgers, but the power base in Boston decided before this game they were going to make the change.
“This result will simply have reinforced the fact they feel they have to do that.”
“Liverpool swiftly denied any talks with Carlo Ancelloti when the rumours became public, however you might remember Jurgen Klopp has been linked with the Liverpool job for quite some time and they’ve never issued any statement regarding that, so Liverpool fans saw that as being a little bit fishy,” he continued.
“Unless something happens, whereby Ancelloti says no, that will be the only thing that will save Brendan, and even then, he would only stay in the short term.
“One thing I can tell you is that Jurgen Klopp will not be the next Liverpool manager.”
