Personally, I like Henry. I'm positive about FSG. Comercially they have done more since they've been here than we did in about 20 years. Some big sponsorship deals, other smaller deals to go with them. Trying to raise our profile abroad again. Doing it from a position where we are poor on the pitch but are utilising our name. It's a shame we couldn't do it before and got left behindOriginally posted by dom9 View PostWell, it's done now (well 5 years ago).
So what next?
Think we're starting to be well managed off the pitch now. Next it's time for people on the pitch to start delivering
It's a pity we had the Moores, H&G eras which didn't take us forward (Moores), then set us back many many years (H&G)
Think the underlying message in this whole thread is that time and patience is needed and we'll get to where we want to be, in the right way, which is the best way

I think it's a pity Moores didn't sell to NESV. We wouldn't be in half the mess we're in now had that happened.Originally posted by Sarb View PostPersonally, I like Henry. I'm positive about FSG. regardless of whether his heart was in the right place owning Liverpool for 16 years and not bringing 1 League Title, His lack of commercial and forward thinking and to cap it off sells to the Cowboys. That wasn't just not taking us forward he presided over a cluster**** that we are still paying for now.Originally posted by Sarb View PostPersonally, I like Henry. I'm positive about FSG. I think you are spot on with Moores too. Would have been ideal to sell to NESV. Our situation now would have been totally different.Originally posted by dom9 View PostI think it's a pity Moores didn't sell to NESV. We wouldn't be in half the mess we're in now had that happened.

Wasn't the reason he didn't get a stake in Littlewoods, the fact that they thought he'd ruin it because he was so useless? I always thought he was a decent man to be honest. I blame Parry more for failing to take advantage of all the commercial opportunities we had. After all, wasn't he the brains behind the Premier League?
I know people say Parry had too much on his plate but he didn't really excel at anything he did. Pretty much every summer he seemed to go on holiday first then return in July to try and buy players. Think it was his inactivity that almost led to Gerrard leaving.
We should have been up there with Utd in the commercial stakes now. It's pretty laughable who inept we were at that
