I don't think any Liverpool fan wants to see Rodgers fail, but on current form a fail seems to be the direction. We ain't winning games and rather stagnant in the table. Yes 1 striker but he let Carroll go,and let him know a while before the window closed that he had no future under him. Arsenal,Swansea two pretty awful displays. The play seems a lot of nice little passes and ermmm that's it. Our defence appears to have gone backwards.I think by Xmas we will know where we are as a club and wether the manager is upto the task. Lets hope for a good run over the next 4 or 5 games,if they are,as I expect littered with defeats and draws the pressure will be well and truly on.It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

If that lino wasn't blind and hadn't ruled our goal offside against Everton; if Skrtel hadn't made an honest mistake in that poor back pass for City's second goal against us; if Mark Halsey didn't have an absolute shocker... we'd potentially be on 20 points and in fourth. We wouldn't be having this conversation. It's all a bunch of "ifs" and is absolutely meaningless at this point in time but it just goes to show how different things would be if it weren't for very, very small and somewhat inevitable errors and other factors out of our hands. As I said earlier, such mitigating factors must also be considered.

The thing is that we might be playing nice football, but we're floundering. We're no better off points-wise than we have been for the last two seasons. We are average at best and **** if we're being honest. Ten games is enough to assess where we're heading and I accept that we are doing some things better, but we don't really seem to be making any/much progress.

We are also very predictable in attack and possesion, Enrique's Pass to Saurez was a bit out the blue. I bet he would have got a bollocking for that, if it had not led to the goal.

Some of our better performers this year are in a dip of form. Allen, Shelvey, Gerrard and I doubt any of them are permanent, maybe Gerrard. The mechanics of the team are suffering because of it. Our younger players are getting more and more experience.
And the biggie is the striker we loaned and didn't replace in the summer. A top(ish) class striker would have given us a number of more points imo and we'd be looking a lot healthier in the league. We have the right approach, good young players and are suffering from a squad that isn't right. In a couple of years I think we'll finally have the players picked by Rodgers and we'll see how the plan has gone. I'm confident we'll be better than many of our main rivals.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

He needs time, the man has ONE striker at his disposal FFS. He does not deserve nor do we have any right to judge him until this time next season. The man has an impossible task with this squad.

They are. But I think Sterling, Suso And Wisdom are showing signs of over exposure at times. Too Many Games in what is fastly becoming must win games, too much pressure too soon. Suso and Sterling would be great impact players in the Team if it was any good.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostSome of our better performers this year are in a dip of form. It all boils down to a painfully thin squad for me. Our first XI is really quite good, barring perhaps our LB. Virtually every other position is filled by someone most managers would trust to do the job, and do it well. The need for reinforcements is obvious and I'm confident we'll get them. I think Rodgers knows what he's doing in the transfer market, which is something I couldn't say for Kenny and definitely not for Hodgson.
Oh and also I think FSG realise how badly they fluffed it at the end of the summer transfer window, so that's another reason we can expect a couple of important signings.
