He needs to give us more evidence that he's up to it, that's for sure.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Lose on Sunday and it is 5 games without a win , also our defending is getting worse

A nil all when we've missed a load of chances would actually be quite nice every so often

The more this happens the more it'll get in the players heads.

Thank **** Sturridge is back now.

I'm still hopefull he is the right man but he needs too step up and sort it out.

We're all hopeful, I doubt many have total conviction and belief that he's up to the job. We need evidence. There has been some but the negatives outweigh the positives pretty comprehensively so far. We keep making the same mistakes and are unable to put any sort of run together. If we don't win the next two it could get uncomfortable.

If the idea is that we stop the opposition by keeping the ball then that isn't really working. We don't transition into defensive positions quickly enough so as soon as we lose the ball we are too open to counter-attacks. That's the same for most teams though, more goals are scored on the counter than by keeping the ball and moving defenders around until you create an opportunity. That's probably why Barca are as good at pressing the ball as they are at keeping it once they have it.

We used to be brilliant at stopping the opposition through defensive positioning. It isn't as obvious as good attacking play so when we battered Real Madrid apparently they were awful when actually they played as well as we let them. We need to get back to playing well without the ball, be awkward *******s to play against, then build from there.
                  Never knowingly optimistic

Yeah our transitions are very poor.

There's been a lot of mention of individual mistakes but we defend with such a lack of cohesion that players don't have trust in the unit and consequently lack composure.

(In general rather than just today.)

Not to worry mate, in 6 to 12 months we won't be making those mistakes apparently

removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Many would agree with this but Brendan seems set on defending with possession only...
