Problem is we are full of players with potential as opposed to being full of effective players. Player of the season has probably been Martin Skrtel, but you look at his age to the rest and there in lies the difference.

Hendo & Allen lack experience in the middle of the park and whilst they've been individually good of late they also struggled at times. Sterling & Couts do everything but produce the numbers I'd want from players in their positions. Better of late but in the biggest of games they didn't stand up and produce. Moreno & Markovic on the flanks have only shown flashes of promise, whilst Moreno is the main reason we've lost the last two games if we were looking at individual mistakes. I could go on.

But bottom line is we have to many players learning their game and not enough lads in the team who have that know how and guiding them a long.

No they didn't and i'm not saying we should get rid of him either,if anything as mentioned by others on here he's got enough to have another try next season.

Unless we were bringing in Benitez sacking Rodgers would be foolish. Rafa is the only world class manager we could attract and I'm not even sure he'd come to work under this board.

Klopp and De Boer have done nothing to convince me they're a significant enough upgrade on Rodgers.

I'm not sure there is a board at any club that Rafa would not eventually fall out with.

He is the man behind some of my favourite recent LFC memories and comes across as a real class act away from football, but I think he has had fallings out with owners/board members etc are pretty much every club he has managed at.

De Boer I think has been very impressive in Holland. A lot of people scoff at the league there but De Boer has achieved stuff with Ajax that much more high profile and supposedly top class managers failed to do there, and he has sustained his success there over four to five years.

Granted it is not a top league but he took an Ajax side that was not doing well by their standards and turned them back into being the dominant team in Holland.

They had only won two titles in the decade prior to De Boer taking over and now they are looking at winning five on the trot under him.

He has also shown himself to be very good at managing and bringing through young players and tactically he seems to be quite sound also.


I'm not calling for him to take over in the summer as I think Rodgers deserves at least another season, but if something mad should happen and Rodgers did walk away, then I would be happy to see De Boer come in.

We play a very delicate game which invites pressure from opposing midfielders deep into our half. I love this type of game but to play it well you need players that can touch, hold and turn within one second. Coutinho is the master at it, Sterling is brilliant and scary with his pace. Lucas has also improved exponentially this season (once he's properly fit).

The other other players that can handle this game are Sturridge, Ibe and Markovic. Which is why Markovic is so important to us next season.

Unfortunately, as has been demonstrated over the last two games, Henderson, Allen and Moreno have a pretty **** technique and cannot play this game. As they're young they may improve next season but I don't see it personally (even though Hendo is vital for his legs and lungs).

Since taking over at Anfield, Rodgers has won only five of 23 Premier League games against top-four rivals Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

This season Liverpool have now lost at Arsenal, City and United, been beaten at home by Chelsea and United and were within a minute of doing likewise against the Gunners.

I don't know it, but as we have a worse squad of players than all of them I'd imagine it isn't that great.

Last season I think he broke even against the teams that are this season's current top four.

4 wins ( Man City, Mancs X 2, Arsenal) offsetting four losses (Chelsea X 2, Arsenal, and City)

It's poor but not exactly shocking or unexpected. 22% win ratio - I'd guess no other club has much higher against those during the same period.

The Achilles heel of most teams is to lose to those better than them. But you look at his football, in general that's enough to beat teams worse than you as you have better attackers. But when you come up against better defences, with a team that has a lethal finisher, we will walk away with nothing.

It's the smaller teams where we've let ourselves down in terms of not getting into the top 4. Ferguson had a period of time where his record was abysmal, but he kept winning titles by smashing the rest of the league.

Aston Villa (0-1,H), Everton (1-1, H), Hull (0-0, H), West Ham (3-1, A), Sunderland (0-0,H), Leicester (0-0, H) were missed opportunities to get victories, and these were before the 3-4-2-1 formation change.
