Not too much sympathy from me. I wont trash him or anything but I'd be glad to see him go. Wasted a stupid amount of money on average players. Spending 100mill should win you the league. 150%. Outstanding. Only likes playing Midfielders. White teeth. Too right - there's a whole bunch of wispy average 20 year old euro types that we need to spend £7m on each so we can then loan them outOriginally posted by BootRoom View PostJudging by that clip, the "If the owners want me to go, I'll go" quote just looks like a philosophical position; he's got not intentions of leaving of his own volition, and even sounds bullish about the work that needs to be done next season.

Talk about him being "broken" is over-dramatic nonsense. We've just been tonked 6-1 by Stoke so the Manager is bound to look a bit shell-shocked, but he seemed pretty composed in the press conference so I don't think he'll be put on suicide watch just yet.

He has totally lost the plot and needs to go, no question about it. I thought we'd lose today but this is just embarrassing, there is no way back for him back in my books. Try to go for Klopp and back him in the market as much as we can, who knows, he might bring one or two with him.* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

This job just came too early for Brendan Rodgers. He hadn't learned his trade yet and then being thrust into one of the worlds top football managers job is a lot to ask. I dont think he made it easy for himself by refusing to have some help from a senior football person, but if he had that decision again, he might choose differently this time.
It was always a long shot, a punt of sorts. It hasn't worked out and no doubt Rodgers will end up somewhere less pressured and make a success out of his career.
But we need to move on and do it quickly. The other clubs will be making their moves already and if we take an age to appoint another manager then we could be much further behind than what we should be.
Thanks Brendan for all your efforts.

I honestly don't give a **** about his bank balance, who cares? He's a professional at the elite end of the sport who will pride himself on results and winning, who is visibly upset because we have lost and might have lost his job. He is the Liverpool manager who speaks warmly about the club and fans and as a fellow human being i really feel for him. It staggers me that people can't feel a bit of compassion towards him.Sack swinging like Dub-D40 on a door hinge

I know what you're saying but I really didn't see the need to be quite so attacking in that match. Chelsea parked the bus, maybe we should have too and gone for a stalemate ?Originally posted by Venton View PostTo be fair how many managers are going to do well with no recognised strikers over the course of a season? A team can't do without all its elements.
The retrospective diagnosis of the Chelsea match is a joke. We couldn't defend for toffee last season whenever we tried, all our threat came from attacking. If we'd sat back and lost everyone would have slaughtered the tactics, it's all cock. I don't blame him for going for it.
Having said that he blew the cash and no manager can survive without a decent defensive system. I think his ethos is too ethereal to work all the time and too complicated for most players to understand. Either way, his performances have been awful this season and if you can't trust a manager with cash they are done for - and everything points to him buying sub-par players at a premium.
Anyway hindsight etc etc
I love Sarah

We didn't get undone by the Chavs because we were too attacking and left ourselves exposed - they provided minimal threat. Everything was in our favour to get a boring 0 - 0.Originally posted by brightred View PostI know what you're saying but I really didn't see the need to be quite so attacking in that match. thats it if he is sacked he won't look at his pay off and jump for joy,he will look at things and know he has failed and alls he will have wanted will have been to be a winner.

If you talking about Balotelli and Lambert I do not agree that he did - neither of them are a fit. Hence my comment about his poor transfer record.Originally posted by ric.williams View Postim sorry but rodgers chose not to play a recognised striker for most of the season. he bought two of them in the summerExperimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad
