Im usually fairly pragmatic with Transfers. But this one just seems a waste of time and squad space.

I get going after good free transfers. Its cost effective if done right. But it just seems that a chance at another keeper has been passed over for him because he is free or something.

Im not saying we should have looked to get Valdes in. But we should have looked to get Valdes in. Even with his injury problems this last 18 months. He would have been better than Adam bloomin Bogdan.

      (5) They give him a few months then sack him when Benteke proves us all right and is rubbish, leaving us mid table at Christmas.

What would be the point of that, why not sack him now?

Read Rodgers would get 9m payoff and think I saw someone here say Rodgers wouldn't be here at the start of the season i.e. I'm putting 2 + 2 together and getting 3.

It doesn't have to be logical for Liverpool to do it

He'll still get a pay off if we sack him later in the season. Why wait till he 's ****ed things further, would that not be more costly?

Valdes would have cost a lot more, nominal free or not. I would have wanted him but then I thought we needed to get rid of Mignolet and he's stepped up.

It should be noted I have no idea if Bogdan is any good or has the potential to be any good. I just think that reserve keeper is a spot we need to deal with quickly and cheaply. I wish that at some point we would make a long term investment in a young keeper and use loans etc. to develop someone internally.

It could be a matter of who blinks first. For Rodgers the other possible options out there are quickly being whittled down. West ham have a new manager and Newcastle are about to appoint Steve McLaren.

Equally if he sits tight and gets his 9m payout he can afford to take his time.

Chelsea did something interesting with AVB's contract. Paid a set amount 4/5m and then paid his wages until he found another job.

Keeper should be a priority. Mig just isn't good enough on the ball. Another ill thought through signing.

Scoring goals is more of an issue than a new keeper.

We didn't compete because of the lack of goals in the team.

**** off. New keeper, new defence, new midfield, new attack, not forgetting new manager. Some still wouldn't be happy!

To be fair on **** i think he'd be pretty good with a better defensive system in front of him. He's left exposed a lot. He's made some absolute cracking saves to keep us in games too lets not forget. His kicking is absolutely ****e, but his main job is keeping goals out and he's doing enough despite the porous midfield and awol defenders in front of him.

Football used to be the distraction that brought a bit of happiness to relieve the frustrations of our otherwise bleak existence. Now it seems the driving force behind people's pathalogic need to seek out melancholy.
