Thanjk you.

Changed my mind. It's not his fault. If no ones making any runs behind then how can he put in any through balls?
It's a real issue. For me, Balotelli just doesn't make intelligent runs. Dropping deep to get involved instead of staying in the areas where he can be a threat.

the lack of movement whilst attacking from us is depressing.
We need to solve this Gerrard conundrum quickly if we're ever going to get near the CL spot this season. Forget two games a week, he can hardly play one game a week nowadays, the legs just aren't there.
Has he suffered from being moved positions every couple of seasons? Playing box to box under Houllier, on the right and then behind Torres under Benitez, whatever the **** under Hodgson and now under Dalglish and Rodgers as a more withdrawn role.
Lampard and Pirlo played the same position solidly for most of their careers.
I was going to mention Totti, as he's 4 years older than Gerrard, but he hasn't played in a league with the pace of the PL so probably isn't a good comparison.
There was a moment in the second half after Steven had lost the ball and he went after it like the Gerrard of old with pace and aggression. But i only saw that happen once in the game yet he proves in that one instance that hes not finished.
Hes playing well within himself at the moment whether its managers instructions or hes managing the tail end of his career to extend his playing life by another season or two after this. Hes dropped the intensity of his game dramatically but he can do it.
I would prefer to see Steven giving his all and if this is his last season at least we see him back to somewhere near the player we all know. But we need to find out the reasons behind this sluggishness.
A few occasions also where they broke through our midfield (all too easily) and into the space where Gerrard should be protecting the CBs, but he was somewhere further up the field.
I think a proper DM would do us the world of good at the moment.
Don't think it's just Gerrard that is the problem. Balotelli has been ****, Sterling has been ****, Coutinho has been ****, Markovic has been ****, Henderson has been ****, Lucas has been ****, Skrtel has been ****, Lovren has been ****, Sakho has been ****, Mignolet has been ****, Lambert has been ****, Sturridge has been injured, Allen has been injured, Can has been injured, Johnson has been injured but would've been ****.
Gerrard isn't the problem, the whole ****ing team is.

I'll give you taht everyone else has been ****, but as a DM/HM we need more tackles and more interceptions from him and the opposition can too easily take him out. Leaving Henderson besides him only creates more problems IMO.
* The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Well, his team-mates need to help him out and they aren't. He's part of the problem not the problem.
